Trick or Treat

I remember when I was little and we would go door to door trick or treating...by the time we got done we would each have a roaster full of candy which my mom would put up on the top of the hutch and dole it out one piece at a time. Sometimes we would exchange candies. If someone had something you liked and you had a good exchange it was a done deal. I always like getting anything with chocolate. If I got a Bing cherry bar then I had really scored. What is the most favorite Halloween treat you had? Or still have!

I don't remember getting lots of candy but when I would get a regular candy bar, I thought that I had really gotten a large treat. In my day, mostly we got cookies, bars, popcorn balls and apples. This was 55 years ago...we didn't have big bags of small candy bars etc.

Anything chocolate was and still is my favorite. I also really liked candy corn or the mallowcreme pumpkins. I actually bought a bag of those so I can have those for this year, since I am well above the trick or treating age.

I remember one year my friend and I got enough candy to fill two shopping bags. It took us until Easter to finish it. We never traded candies, What we got was what we brought home.My favorite back then was Three Musketeers bar, now I like M&M's and Twix.
