My ex suffers from ADHD and has bipolar disorder. We can't seem to get along for long periods of time and he just stresses me out. Do you have someone close to you that suffers from these and how do you handle their personality?

My oldest son is ADHD and he can drive me crazy with his impulsiveness. He is currently on meds and that does help for the most part. He is still a kid so I have no idea how he will be in adult relationship.

Hi there! Yes they drive you crazy. How is he going on his medication? They say people with these diseases don't tend to get the proper help they need until the age of 40. My ex is 32 and he acts like a 15yr old. I mean i was only with him for a very short time and we have a daughter together. I didn't know of any of his health problems till alot later. I hope my daughter doesn't inherit this.

actually i suffer from both myself. and i know its hard on the people around me but ive known that ive had it for years so after i came to terms with it and took my meds i was able to get myself under control better and now i no longer need meds but its very stressfull to have reall job or be in large groups cause im scared that i will loose that control so i just take deep breaths. my mom was always stressed out with me to it takes alot of love and time. good luck

Hi there and thanks for sharing with me! I find it so hard to deal with him. He says he also has a social phobia thing, he is also taking solian or something that makes him stop thinking so much. He always lies to me and thinks i'm his taxi, as he can't drive as he also has epilepsy. I mean there are times we could of killed each other. He had a bad upbringing with his mum as she physically abused him when he was a baby and went on till he left home and he doesn't have any family to turn to - maybe thats why i have a soft spot for him. But he is a pain in the bum for sure, i have tried to get him help in the community such as housing and mental health etc but no one seems to want to know, it makes it very hard.
