I am still young and still in my teenage years. But I already have a lot of white hair. My mom doesn't want me to have it colored at a salon because I might have allergies with the chemicals in the dyes. Do you have any suggestions? Please help me!

White hair is a crown of glory. Nobody can make hair white, truly white, except God. You should be proud if you have white hair for that means wisdom. You would be considered matured and intelligent. Don't dye it to make it black for it would be worse and it would even affect your eyesight.

I think you are an optimistic person! A lot of people also think that I am matured because of my white hair. There are also some who think that I am intelligent because of those hair. I think I will follow your suggestion no to color my hair because I will have poor eyesight. I still need my eyes because I am still a student! :)

I too started seeing white hairs in my late teens and there has been a gradual increase since then! I am still though nowhere even close to having a full head of white or grey hair; I just have a section that has many blended in overall! And what did I do to compensate for this "unnatural perversion of elderly related intrusions!"? Absolutely nothing! I am what I am and have no desire to try to change this for the sake of others physical opinions of me. Those that know me I hope like me for who I am and not how I look. Those that do not know me and wish to make comments or assumptions...... Life is too short to be concerned with people like that! You really want to confuse people and make a statement??? Die your whole hair white!!! All of a sudden people will start commenting on how fashionable and different you are! If you are concerned about dyes and allergies, I am sure that a salon will test a section first to ensure that you are comfortable and there are no adverse reactions. If you voice your concerns on this front they will surely take due care with you. Good luck!

I am starting to have a lot of gray hair recently myself. I am only thirty-five years old and I am wondering what's with the recent growing of gray hair. It's not that much but I notice several. I also believe hair dyes can make your hair brittle and dry because of all the chemicals in it. Why don't you try asking from hair salons, I think they have natural hair colorings that do not contain any chemicals, only natural ingredients. Also cellophane could probably work but then again, maybe, they don't really cover up much. Natural hair coloring I guess is your safe bet.

I got gray hair at 30 and I color them occasionally and that works fine. Try coloring there is nothing you can do about it. My grand mother had all white hair as long as I can remember then my father turned gray in his 40s, my sisters have them and I do to so I think it is genetic and not related to your diet or anything.

Greying of hair as we know is part of aging and it is mostly hereditary. I have grey hair all over. The things I used to do was to use the natural hair dye known as HENNA. It was an effective dye color. It's safer to use compared to chemically mixed hair dyes. Usually, it takes around 3 months before the roots begin again to becoming grey.

hello orange_cien, i think you are having this problem due to heredity.but ofcourse there are lots of other reasons too.and my advise to you is not to bother about it.that will be the only solution.you should be happy the way you are and must be smart enough to carry it off.that is the only thing that works.because if you ponder over something or get conscious then everybody will pull your leg.so be confident.do you think its bad to have white hair?its a nice color, the color of peace.and having white hair doesn't mean you are old. but still if you don't want them, then the best thing is to color them.don't ever opt for dyes, they sometimes have serious side-effects.you can go for colors available at stores.but that would make your hair brittle.so its safe to use natural color.and that is henna.but henna won't make your hair black.it will give a brownish red colour depending upon the whiteness. here is what you should do.don't worry its completely safe.it will give a copper tint color.my sister does this as she has the same problem as you.put the henna powder or it would be better if you get the fresh leaves, they give more color,in an iron container.add some boiled black tea.then beat it and keep it overnight.the next morning add to it one egg, some yoghurt, lemon juice.apply it all over your hair and keep it for 3-4 hours depending how much color you want in your hair.then wash it off with shampoo.if you have sinus problem then reduce the time.you have o repeat it every month or in 15 days. i hope you you find your way to deal with white hair.good luck.

i know many people have the same problem. many people think it is because they have little stuff in their body and they go to check in the hospital and go eat some special food. and others go the hair bar.

Henna might be a good alternative to chemical dyes, although you are limited to red-brown or dark brown, since those are the most common henna dye colors. It might be worth a shot though!

The hair has a tendency to lose its natural colour with advancing age and turn grey, but premature greying is a morbid condition and it makes even the young look older. The hair is an appendage of the skin. It is composed of the same kinds of cells as are found in the outer layer of the skin, which is known as the epidermis. Hair grows from hair follicles which are deep recesses in the epidermis. The sebaceous glands of the scalp secrete an oily substance called sebum, which is the source of nutrition, lustre, and blackness of the hair. The hair cannot be fed externally, for such nourishment, as the scalp requires, must come to it from the bloodstream. Symptoms of Premature Greying of Hair: Causes of Premature Greying of Hair:Faulty diet, Mental worries and lack of vitamins .A faulty diet and mental worries are the two primary causes of premature greying of hair. Lack of some of the B vitamins, iron, copper, and iodine in the daily diet is said to be a contributory factor. Mental worries produce extraordinary tension in the skin of the scalp; this interferes with the supply of vital nutrition necessary for the health of the hair. Heredity, unclean condition of scalp etc: Other causes of premature greying of hair are an unclean condition of the scalp, washing the hair with hot water, drying it with an electric dryer, and use of hair dyes. Heredity is also a predisposing factor. Home Remedies for Premature Greying of Hair: 1). Premature Greying of Hair treatment using Indian Gooseberry: The use of Indian gooseberry is the foremost among the home remedies found beneficial in the prevention and treatment of premature greying of hair. This is a valuable hair tonic for enriching hair growth and hair pigmentation. The fruit, cut into pieces, should be dried, preferably in shade. These pieces should be boiled in coconut oil till the solid matter becomes like charred dust. This darkish oil is very useful against premature greying. The water in which dried amla pieces have been soaked overnight is also nourishing for the hair. This water should be used for the last rinse while washing the hair. Massaging the scalp every night with a teaspoonful of amla juice, mixed with a teaspoon of almond oil and a few drops of lime juice, also proves beneficial in the prevention and treatment of premature greying of hair. 2). Premature Greying of Hair treatment using Amaranth: Amaranth is another effective home remedy for hair disorders. Application of the fresh juice of the leaves of this vegetable helps the hair to retain its black colour and prevents it from premature greying. It also helps the growth of the hair and keeps it soft. 3). Premature Greying of Hair treatment using Curry Leaves: Liberal intake of curry leaves is considered beneficial in preventing premature greying of hair. These leaves have the property of providing vitality and strength to hair roots. New hair roots that grow are healthier and contain a normal pigment. The leaves can be used in the form of chutney, or may be squeezed in buttermilk. When the leaves are boiled in coconut oil, the oil forms an excellent hair tonic to stimulate hair growth and bring back hair pigmentation. 4). Premature Greying of Hair treatment using Ribbed Gourd (Jhina in hindi): Ribbed gourd boiled in coconut oil is also an effective remedy for premature greying of hair. Pieces of this vegetable should be dried in the shade. These dried pieces should be soaked in coconut oil and kept aside for three or four days. The oil should then be boiled till the solid is reduced to a blackened residue. This oil should be massaged into the scalp. It will help enrich the hair roots and restore pigment to the hair. 5).Premature Greying of Hair treatment using Butter: The butter made from cow's milk has the property of preventing premature greying of hair. A small roll may be taken internally and a little quantity may be massaged into the hair roots twice a week. 6).Premature Greying of Hair treatment using Vitamins The vitamins considered useful in guarding against premature greying of hair are pantothenic acid, para-aminobenzoic acid (paba), inositol. The minimum daily requirement of these vitamins appears to be 10 mg of pantothenic acid, 100 mg of para-aminobenzoic acid, and 2 gm of inositol. To obtain satisfactory results, all three of these vitamins belonging to the B group should be supplied at one time, preferably in a form which supplies all the B vitamins, such as yeast and liver. The three anti-greying-hair vitamins can also be produced in the intestinal tract by bacteria. Thus, taking a sufficient quantity of yoghurt daily and a tablespoonful of yeast before each meal is an excellent remedy for the prevention and treatment of premature greying of hair. If one wishes to take tablets of calcium pantothenate and para-aminobenzoic acid (paba), they should be taken in addition to the yeast and yoghurt, and not as a substitute for them. * Juice of carrot, lettuce, capsicum and fresh alfalfa remove copper deficiency, this is good remedy for gray hair and hair loss. Dietaries for Premature Greying of Hair: Take nutrients and rich diet: Diet is of utmost importance in the prevention and treatment of premature greying of hair and persons suffering from this disorder should take a diet rich in all essential nutrients. Avoid devitalising foods, soft drinks etc Devitalising foods such as white flour, refined sugar and all products made from them, soft drinks, pastries, jams and jellies should be avoided. These foods take away energy, cause wrinkles, unattractive skin, grey hair, and premature old age. source:http://gleez.com/articles/health-beauty/home-remedies-for-grey-white-hair

As so many people are preventing white hair, I was actually thinking of dyeing my entire hair to white. My hair is thick, straits and very black, and any strain of white hair is prominent to spot. Any ideas where I can make my hair permanently white? I think it's cool to have the entire hair white. Any suggestion?
