Damn! I just finished watching this about a half hour ago and though I expected it to be a good movie, I didnt expect it to be as good as it was.....Definately a recommended flick! Its a psychological thriller and here is, as usual, the Netflix write up on it:
"Kevin Costner stars in this psychological thriller chronicling the downward spiral of a man (Costner) at war with his own alter ego (William Hurt). Demi Moore co-stars as a sharp-witted police detective whose passion for her job attracts the attention -- and respect -- of the very serial killer she's tracking."
Anyone else see it? What did you think? If you havent seen it and are into that sort of flick I definately think its worth checking out :-)

I'm glad to hear good things about it and that you didn't spill any details. I finally just got it the other day, I'd bought it from Columbia house a while ago. I'm looking forward to watching it and I'm probably going to watch it tomorrow for Halloween (either that or 28 weeks later which I also recently picked up).
I don't normally like anyone else' reviews, but maybe you're someone who has good ones if I like this movie!

Just an added bit of info:
I watched Mr. Brooks last night and I totally figured out the ending long before it ended but I agree that it was a really good movie. The one part near the end surprised me a bit as I wasn't expecting the one thing (scissors!) but then I was like OH ok.
if that make sense without being revealing! ha ha.

hey my friend..my hubby and I actually watched this movie last night. My friend had brought it over and I had never even heard of it but decided to give it a try...it was excellent...I thought that the addition of William Hurt really gave the movie a nice twist....I can't recall if this movie was ever in the theaters...if it wasn't, then too bad!

That sounds like a movie I would like to see. An alter ego? Does this mean that the character Kevin plays has a split personality, sort of like a modern version of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde? Then it sounds exciting. And the "Hyde" like character is a serial killer. I do not know if I can see it in the theater, but I can hardly wait until it is made available on DVD and then on the Movie Channel and I will watch it, preferably not just before I go to bed.

It sounds like a really good movie. I'm going to have to find it and rent it. We used to do netflix maybe we should sign up again for the long cold winter months. Thanks for the great tip.

Hi, Ravenlady, I should of known, Movies Movies Movies, I bet you have all kind of Movies, you ought to be a Movie Director since you are so into Movies, that is a complement! anyway if Cavin Costner, and Demi Moore playing in it, no doubt it is a good Movie.
