My husband is of mexican heritage, and I am from the cajun heritage. We both like American foods as well. We like hot and spicy foods on some occasions and the milder, not very spicy, more American foods at other times. I think it is a mood thing. How about you, do you like Mexican foods? If so, what is your favorite foods and would you like to share ideas? If you want a recipe, PM me, and tell me what you are interested in. I know some people don't feel comfortable posting recipes, and I can't blame you for that.. So what is your favorite Mexican foods? Happy posting..

I have not had a Taco Salad for so long, I can't even remember. I use to have at least one a week. TexMex is good and spicy. So many varieties there.

I love Mexican food too, but can't cook it much due to my husbands allergies. Here is one Mexican recipe I like: HOT MEXICAN BEAN DIP 1 8 oz. pkg Philly Cream Cheese, softened 1 cup sour cream 1 can refried beans 1 tablespoon garlic, finely minced 1 tablespoon cilantro, chopped 2 tablespoon Lipton's onion soup mix 2 tablespoons chili powder 2 1/2 cups grated cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese 2 tablespoons chili powder pinch of salt 1 tablespoon Tabasco (green) pepper sauce Soak the minced garlic in the hot pepper sauce for 10 minutes. If you don't have green pepper sauce, you can substitute red Tabasco. Combine cream cheese, sour cream, beans, cilantro, onion soup mix and chili powder and a pinch of salt to taste. Stir in garlic and Tabasco sauce when ready. Top with cheese. Garnish with chopped cilantro and a sprinkle of chili powder, paprika, parsley, or a dollop of sour cream.

I love Mexican food. Besides American food, I probably eat Mexican food the most. I like tacos, fajitas, burritos, quesadilles, Mexican casserole, and a good spicy taco salad. There is more I like, but I can't think of them! I'm the only one in my family who actually likes spicy salsa, so it wasn't until I moved out that I got to buy the spicy salsa. They always liked the mild. : )

All good choices Pam. Mexican restaurants have a good variety too, but the names of some of them I just can't remember. And real spicy works well for me too.

I also like mexican food... particularly tacos and burritos... but not the spicy ones... i an not that crazy about spicy food...so everytime i order tacos or burritos i would always request for the not so spicy one... There is a restaurant where i live called Zapata's... and they serve excellent mexican food and the best margarita in town...

YUM Margaritas are good. Not everyone like their food spicy, that is a good reason to have salsa of varying spiciness. Some mild, meduim, hot, and extra hot. Take your pick. Your restaurant sounds lovely, especially if they serve Margaritas. LOL

I love veggie burritos, bean burritos and vegetable fajitas. We also love chips and salsa...it's our favorite snack which we end up eating a few times a week. I usually like my food on the milder side with just a little spice.

There's nothing wrong with a mild salsa. At least you can enjoy it, and still have a variety of foods with it.

Oh, I just love taco's the most of any mexican food! I can eat my weight in taco's just about.I know that is an exaggeration, but I do love taco's. In Little Rock, Arkansas they have this mexican restaurant called Casa Bonita and it has all you can eat mexican food, I used to go there as a kid about 35 years ago and I hear the food is still just as good as ever. I wish more restaurants like that would open up. Got me hungry for mexican food now, oh and the white cheese dip, yummy.

We have an all you can eat Mexican restaurant here too. It is okay, but I think I'll have to check that Casa Bonita in Little Rock on my next trip to the South. Enchiladas are my all time favorite out of the mexican dishes.

Mexican food is good. Pico de gallo is awesome when you want a nice tasting salsa al fresco. It goes real well with tacos, fajitas, chimichangas, burritos and toastados.
