Have you thrown away your phone book, yet?

Do you still use the traditional paper phone book or the online phone book? Most times when I need to find someone's phone number, I check the phone book online. There are several to choose from and most provide way more detailed information than the traditional paper phone book. Sometimes I wish the phone company would save a few trees and stop sending me the new phone book every year. I really don't need it. As is, it's a real waste. And, that's a shame.

We have our phone book in the car. That way in case we get stuck on the side of the road or something, we can find someone to call, since we live out in the middle of nowhere. :) The phone book is part of our emergency kit that we keep in both the car and the truck at all times.

That's a great idea, I think I should do that. And if anyone really short ever wants to drive your car, they'll have a booster seat. ;)

I do not use paper phone book, instead I have a digital diary to keep the record of phone numbers and alternatively I store the phone numbers in my mobile too. I find a digital diary very convenient to use.

Hi. beautyqueen26. No, not really. I have thrown away my phone book when it started to wear out and became torn up. Now, I have a new phone book and I enjoy using this phone book too. I usually use the paper phone book to look up phone numbers of many people and businesses. I only use the online phone book when I am trying to find the current telephone number of someone that I have not seen in many years. I also try to locate a cell phone number that belongs to someone. So, I am usually trying to find out who a certain cell phone number belongs to.

Where are you looking up someone's phone number online? Most of them have been taken off because people don't like their phone number on the internet. I know Verizon's People Pages was removed and I used to use that all the time. Now I am glad I didn't throw away my phone book. And, I had used one for a long time on my old desk - the wheel broke off when we moved so it kept it level. I do recycle my old ones so it's not as much of a waste.

Surprisingly, I only have one phone book, LOL. But I do keep it and I have been able to get some pizza coupons from it, LOL. I normally just get online to look something up, but in case my computer ever messes up, it will be handy to have a paper phone book for me to use.

I do still use the old paper phone book on occasion, but then again, I do recycle the old ones too. They are usually quite large and heavy books and, I agree, a waste of paper.

I use them from time to time when I need to find a technician to fix things around the house.

No, I still keep my phone book because it is important. Although I have all the phone numbers in my cellphone, but I still want to have a safer backup and the phone book is a good choice.

I think that you are environment-minded like I am. I also think that it is better to check the phone book online, but anyhow to those who do not use computers, it would be inconvenient for them, dear beauty queen. I think that they will find a better way for this solution. Good day.
