When did we loose our innocence?

when long ago, all we do is play and laugh - now, we live this world accordingly

It just came into my mind, a reflection for this day, wondering when did we just let it go... and faced this world knowing its danger, opened our eyes and live it with consciousness as well awareness. Sometimes, it will just make us lonesome but we have to do our purpose even if this world and life is complicated.

Innocence? What is that? I suppose I hear a lot about it, and I see it in others sometimes, I think. But... I don't think of myself as having ever been innocent. I don't remember any of the type of experiences or feelings people relate as innocence. I wonder when I did lose my innocence, considering I can't even remember it?

Thanks! Actually that's one of the things that bothers me so much about myself though, because other people will tell stories about their childhood and the innocence they felt there, and I don't have any of those stories. Hmmm.

Very interesting post, vehaileairu!! When did I lose my innocence? I was as simple girl who grew up in the city. For me, life has been like a rose. I was born with the petals closed. As the rose unfolded, a piece of my innocence went away. It was painful, it was joyous. With every 'Whys" I kind of lost my innocence. "whys" took me deeper and I learnt that life is but loss of innocence! I was taught that to get on in business you have to lie. You exaggerate and misrepresent in order to win the work, you claim to have done things you have not done. That’s the way the game is played. It's so easy to get caught up in self sabotage, self denials, and even self hatred. But, how does it matter I have already lost my innocence! It does matter. At the end of the day we should have the ability to look into our eyes in the mirror and with every repentance, with every move to make sure to repair things we kind of regain innocence. I feel, life is all about losing and repairing our innocence. I am working on it, vehail. Thank you.

when we were born we were all innocent but as we grew up we were taught to tel lies to be not what you are in front of others may be out of a feeling of insecurity and once you are out of your teens innocence would have flown out of you

I feel we lose our innocence quite early in life. As a child we are told so many nagative and positive things and we see our partnets and relatives doing so many things against the normal traditions. When we find that there is difference beween preeching and practising, we tend to lose our innocence. Good Post!
