What can I do to get her to eat meat? She will eat chicken. But other than that, she WONT eat any meat. She won't eat veggies anymore either. I don't allow snacking between meals, and I give her only water to drink other than at meal time, when I give her juice or milk. What can I do?

You can try this if you like, it might work a little. Try making a healthy vegetable dip, one that she likes of course, and let her dip the vegetables in it. Sometimes that works. Chicken and Turkey are very healthy for her. As far as pork or beef, how about maybe Taco's?, or maybe you can find some fun recipes that she could help you make and give them fun names. Other than that, I don't really know what else you can do. If I think of something else, I'll be back.....I need to think a little, haha!

Hi again,...you didn't mention how old your child was but I checked around a little and found a couple websites I thought you might like. ....www.familyfun.com....and....www.recipestogo.com....they both have recipes for kids that sound like they are fun to do. Good Luck!

Well my dear, I do not have kids, but I had to deal with them sometimes, and so far what work for me is try to make a fun meal, that is make the dish look nice to her eyes, also if she is old enough ask her to help you cook, that way at least she will try what she is cooking (most likely), invite some of her friends to come over for lunch or any meal, of course a friend who like the food... I hope this help you! Have a gret day!

i have four kids. i didnt have a hard time feeding them but i wish this can help you. if your child only eats chicken then i think you should better but ground beef or pork. i remember my first born when he was 7 or 8 that he doesnt like the meat of pork andb eef sticking between his teeth so he does not eat pork and beef, but now he eats already. if you will but ground pork or beef mix it with ground veggies as well. cut the veggies really small or put it in a food processor. when the veggies are tiny already and is mixed with the ground pork or beef you can make this into hamburger patties or balls. cook it and present it with decorations to encourage your child to eat it. hope this helps.

How old is she? Kids go through phases in eating. My 24 year old stepdaughter still wont eat anything green. I love almost all veggies so this made it hard to plan meals sometimes. I had to fool my son once to get him to eat fish sticks cause he did not like fish. I told him they were chicken. Does she see you eating fresh fruit? Would she eat that?

Actually, she eats a LOT of fruit. And, just in the past few days, I have started telling her that everything we eat, is chicken, and she started eating ANYTHING I say is chicken....lol. Thanks for that suggestion!

Does she like cheese? My Mother used to melt cheese on broccoli and my brother who wouldn't eat vegetables started eating some. Does she like yogurt? There are many kinds of protein such as beans, yogurt, cheese, tempet. The biggest problem is making sure she gets enough iron if she doesn't eat red meat. If she doesn't eat vegetables, all the B vitamins for nerves may be missed, that can affect her mind, also A vitamins could affect her sight. My Mom used to sneak veggies into tomato sauce recipes. Like lasagna, spaghetti, etc. We had carrot cake and pumkin cookies, too to help get my brother eating veggies somehow. Of course, people are supposed to eat 5 veggies a day and only 1 sweet a day or a week depending on who you listen to. You can sneak a lot of stuff into smoothies and if she'll drink V-8, there are tons of veggies in that. There are juices now that have fruit and veggies in, but you can't really taste the veggies. Those are cool, too. Friends of mine got their kids to eat veggies by having them raise their own vegetables. My brother helped raise dark green leaf lettuce and that's one of the few veggies he'll eat. Hope something I wrote helps. Let us know how you do and which ideas presented work out, take care.
