Do you use gmail?

I use gmail and I like the spam filtering feature the best.
However, recently, I found the response slow when I tried to read my mail. Initially, I thought that it was a virus slowing down my PC. Then I realised that gmail has upgraded to a new version and the new version had problems running on my old machine. To solve the problem, I can click on "older version" but I can't seem to make that the default setting.
Anyone having a similar problem?

Me to using gmail. I like it. I have not had that problems with gmail. However sometimes it goes slow. I belive it has to do with the puter. If you make some cleaning mabee it will help. I got a list I will send you in privat message to you that you could follow as I did and made my puter more faster than it ever have been. Ma bee that will help.

Thank you so much for the info that you have pm me. I have followed bada71's advice and have found the solution to my problem. But I will keep your advice if ever I run out of memory.

You are so welcome. I know how frustrated you can be when the puter are slow. I had that problem once, and received this list of help and followed all the steps and did everything on it. My puter went from bad to best running ever. Now, I use it once a month and do the cleaning on a regularly bases.

I think we like the ones that we are used to. I have a yahoo account but I prefer gmail.

I have gamil account but I don't use it much. I use yahoomail more. I'm not used to using gmail...

I have the opposite experience. I also have a yahoo account and I could not get use to it.

My son who uses a newer computer don't have any problems either. I think that it could be due to insufficient memory in mine. The old version of gmail is good enough for me. I just need to find out how to make that the default one instead of having to switch whenever I startup (and the switching takes a while too).

i am a great fan of gmail. its very userfriendly and fast.i like the chat function on it very much.its very easy to stay in touch thro it. i dont use my others accounts after i got my gmail. its really cool

I, too, only use gmail. I tried yahoo but I like gmail more. The spam filter and the speed that it receives mail is what I like best.

Although Gmail provides a very large space, however, I don't like it very much. I almost don't use my Gmail account. Because it doesn't provide the function for me to make a folder. And the emails will be in a mess without folders. This is why I am less interested in it.

You are right about not having folders. I use their search feature whenever I need to find something.

I have been using Gmail more regularly in just the last few weeks. I had previously used Yahoo. I didn't even realize there were two versions. Which ever one I am using I have not been having any trouble with.

They just upgraded to a new version. I think that only an old computer like mine noticed the difference.

i like gmail better cause it gets less spam than yahoo there is also disadvantage for gmail regarding folders truly it very messy.

Gmail helps me filter off about 100 spam a day. I wonder why they do not see the need for folders. I use the search function when I need to look for a particular mail.

I don't think that it is a virus because when I select "old version" it is no longer slow.

Nope, don't have one, but I do have multiple accounts with yahoo. For different transactions or messaging, personal, business and organization.
It's hard to handle sometimes I forget the passwords I have used for such e-mail. that's why I sticked to yahoo!

i use gmail because of the spam filter too... i usualy register to many sites and i usually get around 50 spam emails every day, so its really good, maybe the best email clint curently present

gmail is really great and helps in easy email reading.. Really fast and efficient. I use this alot and recommend friends to do the same..
