I hear many of them. You should take ten little sips and that should stop your hiccups. Also I hear another one. You should scare the person. My hubby try it on me and it really worked, but it is the worst way. Also I hear about taking a spoon of sugar.Never try that one.

I get rid of them by drinking some water and putting the water in the mouth for some time, juggling it in the mouth and then spitting it.. I generally get rid of them by this method.. If they still don't go away, I just relax a bit, don't talk for sm time, and I get rid of them easily...

My boyfriend/husband had the hiccups with bruised ribs for almost 3 days straight. Nothing worked for him, but he loved all of the ideas. His favorite was drinking the water upside down or backwards. He even did hiccupped in his sleep. I felt bad for him, but had a good time watching him. LOL

Well when I have hiccups, I drink a lot of water to remove it or press the pulse to stop it. Either way works to me.

There are lots of things I do to get rid of hiccups. One of the things I do is drink a lot of water. It does help a lot. I also tried holding my breath for a few minutes. They say it helps hiccups.

Most bouts of hiccups go away on their own within a few minutes to a few hours and do not require any treatment. Many home remedies are used to treat hiccups. Most of them involve increasing the level of carbon dioxide in the blood, which usually stops hiccups. Some of these remedies include: * Holding your breath and counting slowly to 10. * Breathing repeatedly into a paper bag for a limited period of time. * Quickly drinking a glass of cold water. * Eating a teaspoon of sugar or honey. The treatment for persistent or intractable hiccups depends on the underlying cause of the hiccups and may range from medicine to acupuncture or hypnosis. Sometimes several treatments may be tried before persistent or intractable hiccups are controlled. If you have hiccups that last a few days or longer, your doctor may conduct tests to rule out a more serious problem.
