Do you open My Lot links in a new window or tab?

Most times when I drop by My Lot, I only have a few minutes to post. So, I check all my friends discussions first and when I find three or four that I really like, I try to open all of them in different tabs, so that I can answer each one and then move on. That way I don't lose my original page. It works better than answering one discussion at a time. And, then I simply close each tab or window after posting. Other times, when I want to post a discussion of my own, I will open five or six tabs at once, so that I can post multiple times before I have to leave My Lot. It's much more efficient than posting one discussion at a time. Do you find that it's more convenient to open all your discussions or posts in a new window or tab, so that you don't lose your place? Have you ever posted the wrong answer in a discussion because you had too many tabs open and forgot which discussion you were at?

Morning beauty queen. I do exactly the same like you do while responding to friends' discussions. This way it makes the round go faster and saves time and more responses can be made. But like you said, sometimes I made a wrong response to a different discussion and it made me laugh at myself for it. I jsut have to be more careful while opening so many windows. I love this topic, which is also what I want to express. Thanks for it very much.

The way I do it is I open up the first window to start responding and then as the notifications start coming in I open them up in a second window. That way I don't lose my place where I am working but I also don't forget to do my replies.

I never tried to do that before..but think I will try to do it next time I am in a hurry:) I know before we got this new page..back several months ago ..I use to copy in urls into the web address ..submit and then recopy..since it stays in memory till you recopy something else. I usually don't come by mylot if I am in a really big hurry..I really like to take my time with what I write and when I hurry, more then likely I will make mistakes.

That's a very good point. I make all kinds of misspellings if I rush, but Mozilla Firefox has a spell checker and catches them all. That's convenient.

enzyme using Firefox is my default browser are generally opened new links from the side a new caps is very efficient way of saving a system resources and still serve different websites. Firefox forming is the best browser available and it is the most coolest feature to offer me. And I utilise that to the fullest.

I usually open in new tabs coz I don’t like to have so many things cluttered on my taskbar.

I usually have a few different tabs open on my computer but only one of them is devoted to mylot. Like you, I usually only get over here for a few minutes at a time though. I answer a couple of discussions and move on. Sometimes I don't see the original discussions that caught my eye after responding to another, I usually check a page or two. If I still don't see it then I just answer a different one. I never thought to open individual tabs for each discussion.

This sounds like a easy way to get more done in mylot. instead of replying from post to post. I think i will try it this way.

I never thought about opening Mylot pages in a bunch of different tabs even though my favorite browser is Firefox and I'm very used to tabbed browsing. Right now I have four tabs open doing other things while I search through the posts at Mylot for interesting things to reply to. But I think that I will stick to keeping Mylot in one tab because I already have so many other tabs open working on other things. I really like your idea, though, and will keep it in mind!

I use tabs. If you can believe it I've got 5 different mylot tabs up currently. One for new discussions. One for recent. One for top discussions. One for friend discussions. And one for interests. I've never had a problem posting to the wrong discussion, since I don't hit the send response button on multiple tabs, I just look at the discussion and answer one at a time.

Well , i dont open a lot of tabs at once - first of all my internet connection is very slow and the second thing is that i dont think i can concentrate on it fully when i do so . Yes , but doing so with a fast internet connection is a good idea - but take care when posting your reply - dont mix the replies in one another .
