is it just me, or does anyone love to shop for their kids? i am always getting them something at the store, and i they dont even need anything. i just love buying new toys, i think its cause i am a kid at heart, and i love to play with them. i also have bought sooooooo many books for my son. i read to him everyday for an hour. i have so much fun being a stay at home mom, but i don wish i could have a little down time here and there.

My wife calls my son to accompany her when she goes for shopping and he puts a condition that she should buy a book (small , medium or big). He is fond of book reading and thought we should encourage. Each time he accompanies (once a fortnight) he gets a book, now this is happening for the last 3 years and today the library is quite good. Sometimes I also read his books.

Thanks for the input! Yes, I love to read to my son, I sit there and think about how peaceful it is to be a kid when I am reading these books to him. Right now I find myself buying a lot of books and cars! My son is 2 and he is really into the movie "Cars" and so now all he asks for is cars! He gets so much fun out of his cars, that I can't stop buying them for him. I love to see him smile!

It is really a god's gift to man and woman to watch the innoncent talks of child, its play. If one misses it, it is gone for life. Themost precious moments of life for parents.

I agree with you all the way! I think being a parent is what life is all about. I feel you have not lived until you have a baby of your own to hold and love and care for!

I love to shop for my sons, especially when they help out around the house and do well in school, I like to take them shopping with me and sometimes I spend a little too much on them but it's worth it to see all the hard work they put into their studies and home life.

Yes I do too. I but things for them all the time like new clothes, movies or toys. Sometimes I give them to them and other times I hide them so I can use them for gifts. I love to see there face when they get something new. Makes it all worth it!

I also full time mother, my son is 15 months. For books, i just borrow from library. It is more cheaper than buy books. But sometimes i also buy books for him, not always. For toys, also sometimes :)

When I go shopping, I don't buy for myself but for my kids. Like any mother, I see to it that they have complete necessities other stuffs like clothes, educational toys, books and many other things for them.

I love to buy small things for my kids especially for my daughter. One can buy many things for a girl like hair accessories. I love very much to buy hair accessories and fix her hair since I was like that too when I am a child or younger. I used to have long hair and love very much to buy things for my hair. I usually spent a lot of time thinking what to buy for my son. It's hard to think what to buy for boys. So I always buy cd (children's or comedy movies)or children's books for him. Or I just bring him along so that he can choose for himself.
