The other day I was talking to my girlfriend and she said she has all of her Christmas shopping done! She does this every year. She starts in the summer time. Im sorry I just cant do that. I have to be in the spirit when Im shopping. I think it kinda takes away from Christmas. Do you have someone you know who has their shopping all done?

Hi Terry, I too have always been the type of person who always has to be in the Christmas spirit in order to do my Christmas shopping! I couldn't imagine buying Christmas presents in summer, although that might be a little better then being broke all November and December lol. Have a good day! Luv & Hugzz, PurpleTeddyBear.

I can't do that either. My Mother kind of buys her Christmas gifts during the year. She has been known to start straight after Christmas. She looks for good specials & sales, which is a good idea. I just don't want to have to store gifts all year round. I don't usually start my Christmas shopping until November.

This is the first time I have heard about an early Christmas shopper...she must have a lot of spare cash for it...the truth is, I haven't really...although I have already bought some fancy Christmas decors last week, and will buy some more trimmings for my tree this weekend...but shopping for Christmas gifts...hmmm...I guess I still have to make my list and check them twice...he, he, he....

My mother is a QVC addict, and does all of her shopping on there. She told me the other day she has been doing her shopping for months and is all done now. I haven't even started.

Ok, I hate those people. I am soooo opposite of them. I'm always still doing some shopping on Christmas Eve. I just wish there were more hours in the day.

I wish I had the funds to get my shopping done. It is going to be a very lean Christmas this year. With the high price of gas and things we are really struggling. I have picked up a few things off from the clearance aisles, but I'm not close to done. My mom has all her shopping done already.

yeah I think my future mother in law has already done her shopping. She also shop in the summer and I have to say it is pretty smart, because I am sure she save this way a lot of money. I wish to have at least bought something, but I have nothing yet. But also you are right I like also shopping with that spirit when christmas is comeing. Hope I can find everything I need for the christmas. This year it would be really hard since I have to buy for my fiancee family gifts too.

I have a few friends that are already done their Chrismas shopping. They don't like to go shopping when the stores are insanely busy so they get done early and avoid the insanity. I actually am almost done my shopping this year and I have to sale it feels pretty good. I'm happy with all of my purchases. Now I just have to wrap them. I won't do that until I have to though.

Wow, I wish I could start my Christmas shopping in the Summer time. However I have too much going on then and even right now to start. I hope to get shopping soon though. Its not like I have too much more time to do my shopping. My mom starts her shopping early, however she still does some of the shopping in weeks before Christmas.

I've heard of people being able to shop during the summer to prepare for Christmas but I can't do it. If I see something ahead of time that I think they'll like, then I'll go ahead and get it but that does not mean that it will actually last until Christmas. I have to start mine in November because then I'm pretty sure of what someone will want.

Hi TerryZ! I used to be an early Christmas shopper. When October ends, all my shopping for Christmas is already completed but this year, I think I would wait for December to kick off. Well it is because I am trying to budget everything so I can spend wisely this holidays. haha.. tight on the budget! My aunt has been shopping endlessly for Christmas gifts and she always buy two presents before the holidays. I think she started shopping since September and when the time comes for gift giving, she always has these extra gifts for unexpected guests. But I usually end up getting a few of those extras anyway, so I really like it when she shops very early. haha.. Take care and have a nice day.

i have known people that have all their christmas shopping done at least by thanksgiving!!often, i think that these people are like you said not in the spirit of the season when they do that. they are looking at the art of gift giving like some dreaded task that has to be taken care of and dealt with efficiently and in a timely manner, so they don't have to deal with it again, at christmastime. but that is silly. the whole point of the holiday season is supposed to be one of joy and JOYFUL giving!!!!not a completed task that was accomplished before the first snowfall.
