Halloween is lame, if you are older than 11-12 you should not be dressing up and trick-or-treating. I haven't dressed up years, I usually go to a party or something but I am not in costume. If you are older you should stay at home and hand out candy.

I don't think there's a cutoff age, if someone older wants to dressup and they put the effort into doing it properly, then they get the same candy as everyone else.

I stopped by the time I was 11 or 12. I think after that children are too old to go trick or treating, but you are never too old to dress up. You can still have fun on Halloween, have candy and go to parties. I would give candy to any kids that came to my door as long as they were not demanding or aggressive.

I always dress up on Halloween to take my daughter trick or treating. I usually give out the same amount of candy to everyone no matter what age. We usually have anywhere from babies to teenagers coming around to trick or treat. Some shouldn't even be out while others are pretty polite about it. I think if they are going to have an age limit, it should probably be...um...15 perhaps.

My best freind is 27. She dresses up, and goes out trick or treating ALONE! She also leaves a big bowl of candy on her porch with a ''help yourself'' sign. She has no shame about it either. (Which is why I like her, she's insane!) If you want to trick or treat, and you're over 18, you should contribute to it too. Like leaving candy with a neighbor to pass on your behalf while you're out trick or treating.
