I am so freaked out right now! I was putting away my silverware and I found little mouse poopes. So I took everything out and washed it. Then I looked on my counters and yes they were some more. They are so tiny you can hardly see them. So that means my cats Molly and Maggie are not doing their job. Now I have to buy some mouse traps. I came out the other night and they were both looking up at the counter. Thats why. They are not alound on the counters or tables of any kind. How can I tell them its okay to go on the counter now? Its getting cold now and they are looking for a warm place to live. Thats not happening. Not with me!

Hi Terry, Yeah its that time of year, its getting cold and they are looking for somewhere warm. You shouldnt make your house so comfy to some mices....hehehe Before I moved to be with my hubby, I had a little apartment that was infested with mice one winter! OMGoodness, I couldnt hardly sleep at night, and sometimes I would sleep somewhere else. Until they got rid of them all. One day I had fixed some water to wash up some dishes, and I made it too hot, so I went to smoke a cig and make a phone call and then wash the sink of dishes. Well I didnt get around too it because I ended up leaving. lol So when I got back I went to do the dishes again and reached in to let out the water and felt something really gushy. When the water drained it was a mouse!!! It had drowned and I touched it!! I threw everything that was in the sink in the trash, all of it! I didnt think any amount of bleach water could erase the memory of that mouse being in my dish water with my dishes. LOL Bay Lay Gray xx

Well I hope that your place doesnt get like mine did. Those things multiply like roaches if you dont know they are there right away! The exterminator guy was coming like every 2 or 3 days with new traps for over a week. lol I got free rent for that month. Thank goodness for friends and couches. lol Try and remember, this helped me, they are WAAAAY more scared of you than you are them, and they will probably run the other direction. Hugs! :D

Tell those kitties that they are bad and that they are NOT doing their job. LOL. Why is it, was it Molly?? Wasn't she the one that was all set to drag in a mouse into the house from outside during the summer? Makes you wonder why she's not doing her job now. Maybe you have to retrain your kitties to jump on the counters now to catch the meese by picking them up and putting them on the counter that way they might get the hint its okay to jump up now.

hehehe Well last night I put a kitchen chair right near the countertop and when I got up this morning Maggie was sitting on the chair. So she must have been on guard duty. I feel alot better now. So if she wanted to jump on the counter it would be easier for her with the chair right there.hehehehehe

Hi TerryZ! Oh that is bad! Mice really freak me out too big time! I find them disgusting and nasty creatures. hehe.. I guess Molly and Maggie are just trying to be good girls when you told them they are not allowed on the counter. I just hope the traps will do great to catch those creatures. Take care and have a nice day.

Yuck! That is not good! They got on your silver ware and counter. I do house checks here too. Find out where those suckers are coming in. I make sure I get all the recyclables out, because I think hubby bought them in ..... because he is lazy, and bought the recycle bins in the house, and I definitely think that is how some got in our house, but find out where yours is coming in. I feel for you...been there!

Hi Terry, That's a tough one. You want to catch a mouse, not one of your cats. If your cats know that they can't go on the counter though then maybe put the traps on there. Just be careful, I wouldn't suggest using any kind of poison. Luv & Hugzz, PurpleTeddyBear.

Yes, that is not happening to my dear Terryz if the mice want to look for some warm places for the cold winter. It is better for them to live somewhere under the ground in the wild fields and they would find some more food to live on and they would feel warmer deep under the ground. hehe.

Stop feeding your cats. That will kick their atrophied hunting instincts back into high-gear! ;-)
