HINDU perspective of ISLAM

Here is a quote by a Hindu concerning Islam. "Islam imposes a threat to the whole world which is far worse than deforestation, nuclear destruction or AIDS. It is an insidious, devilish disease creeping into the veins of the world. Every individual must realise the destructive and evil nature of this religion, for it eats away at the very foundation of humanity which is an individual's ability to think individually and act accordingly." Here's a link to the web page containing this quote. http://www.flex.com/~jai/satyamevajayate/index.html At the site above are links to various articles concerning Islam and historical information about Islam's interaction with Hinduism. Do you think this site is a "Hate site" or providing facts and information for people to understand the true nature of Islam?

I don't think it's a hate site at all. Aurangzeb was a treacherous ruler and he did create a lot of havoc. There were many Hindus who were being forced to convert to Islam and the ones who didn't obey were massacred. So Guru Tegh Bahadur was approached by many people for a solution. Then his son Guru Gobind was only 4 years old and he told his father to sacrifice himself and save the mass. So he went and told Aurangzeb to chop his head off, and let the rest go. And he agreed to it. Right from the beginning, Mohammed Gazni and his men destroyed all the Hindu Temples in India and created a lot of trouble. So in the name of Islam they have spread only violence. You cannot preach religion through violence. This site is not a site of hate, but a site of proper information about what people have been doing in the name of Islam and it's not correct. but, I won't comment on other facts about Mohammed. But there are cerain things which are wrong. But hatred towards anyone is not good. :)

I don't agree about the sufism in that site. But still, it's better to take the gold and leave out the dirt. Let the ones who want show the dirt, do so, but we should just keep in touch with the gold. :)

"It's better to take the gold and leave out the dirt." Cobradene, There is wisdom in that quote for sure. I find there are valuable lessons in all the religions even though I would not join any of them.

I have been through several of those links and I must say that it seems to be quite factual. Of course there will be some that claim it is nothing more than a hate site, however I have found that one persons factual presentation can be another's hate speech. I found the site to be informative and easily understood, and I think everyone should have a look. Islam is not a religion of peace, it isn't really a religion at all. It is more of a cult, and it seems to have lasted much longer than the many others that have sprung up throughout history.

What a Stupidity... I do not know why this thread was started actully.. because of a Stupid Guy who wrote everything which he Just THOUGHT...is there anything that backups all his statement.. Any proof that Really Aurangzeb did that... I know he destroyed many temples... many other thing he had done but he is just a Human being... We do not say that Hindu(geographical name) is terrorist or something like that.. Why people always say Muslim are terrorist.. The name terrorist was arrived from the Crusaders.. Who killed many and converted many to Christianity... Don't you know that ? What a stupid knowledge you got... Let me explain how to get Knowledge... A person should go to K.G before 1st standard... He should complete his 1st before going to second.. What people do is Go directly to 10th standard (and they MIGHT get pass) and than say that they are EDUCATED.... but in some scenario some one ask them question abt anything which is thought in the 1st 2nd 3rd standard .... What will he answer ? He will keep quit... Important Note : A Religion Should Not be guessed by observing their Followers... Mohammed was the "MESSENGER" of God... If you really want to know about islam and it how to practice it.. than FOllow the path of beloved Prophet (SallAllahu Alaihi Wassallam) First Read your own scripture... Hindu is Not a Religion it is Misnomered.. Hind is derived because of Hind Ocean.. So the country name is BHARAT. But by the time it is named Hindustand... Now here is a Example... A mother gave her child the name "Vicky" when he was 1 year old... Now when he grew up people started to call him Vickya or any Pet name... Now what happens everybody knows him with the name od Vickya just his relative and parent know he is "Vicky" (and school registration too)... So that means a person name can be changed via the masses.. Hindu means a Person Who lives in Hindustan... A hindu should be know as the vedantist because his scriptures are Vedas... But most of the hindus just read bhagvatgita.. That should not be done... Why to follow the path of parent.. That time they do not got that much resources... Now we got plenty of resources...Why we should not get it... Every person dwelling in india (no matter if he is Muslim christian or Vedantist) he is known (grographically) as hindu All muslim friends please do not put a hatred toward the whole religion just because some one post without getting the proper knowledge.. What the page say is just mere stupid tidy... I am not here to say anything against about others religion. because i respect other religion (this is also stated in the quran to respect others religion)... Even Veda and Upanishads speak about ONE GOD (Allah,Bhagvan,God,Creator)... Did you read Bhavishaya Purana...the answer will be (commonly) BIG NO Why just because it is the duty of the older people to read scriptures and we Young are just for fun ... this is the thinking of modern people... Hope this will shed some Why do not people go to Some scholars of muslim and ask this question straight.. The scholars should and must be choosen correctly. I would suggest the person reading this if they belong to Indian Maharashtra City: Mumbai should come to the meeting of ISlamic community which will be held on 23nov to 2 dec or may be 10 dec (confused)... Please go there it will be conduct through the IRF Islamic Research Foundation... http:?/www.irf.net.. Get proper knowledge Ask Question (not to the people in general but to the scholars.) I also have one question in mind why did Pope Benedict did responded to Dr. Zakir Naik for a Debate over religion... Still it is his will... Try to watch Peace TV (Speacially Dr. Zakir Naik Programs.)

I think this site is giving "facts": BUT, the history of Christianity is no better. The current problems with Islam are coming from religious fanatics. Not all Muslims are fanatics; but, moderate Muslims are frequently too afraid to stand up to these fanatics and so they all are getting "tarred with the same brush". These fanatics ARE a serious threat to the world at this time. Personally, I believe that if Mohammad was able to see what his followers are doing in his name and the name of Allah; he would be "spinning in his grave".

Actually, I doubt if Mohammad would be "spinning in his grave" at the actions of the radical Muslims. They really are doing as he taught, and actually did. In his latter years, he did moderate his message. So, who is the real Mohammad? The early one or the elder? I do not know.

"If some hindu kill my family.. what will i do... I will say HINDU'S ARE TERRORIST? " If after your family were thusly killed and you were to see thousands of Hindu's dancing in the streets rejoicing about your family's murder, Hindu leaders making speeches praising the murderers, and Hindu leaders calling for genocide, YES, THEN YOU COULD CALL THOSE HINDU's TERRORISTS. As to the designation of best response. This response is well written, well balenced in that it points out shortcomings and strengths of both sides, and it includes very informative, accurate follow up in the comments section. I always include consideration of comments when giving BR. I'd still make this the BR, though there are several very good responses and the choice is difficult.

If you go back into the history of any organized religion you'll find some horrible acts. Aside from that you'll have to remember that every group is likely to be judged by its worst example. Most organized religions are great on paper, it's in the administration that everything goes wrong.

Can you please remind me when and how Buddists and Hindus did horrible things in the name of religion? I don't remember either of them ever being a threat to human peace as much as Islamic terrorists have been. Christians haven't changed their ways yet. But yes, they are not violent anymore.

I don't understand why you are getting so worked up with my comments. Am not getting personal with you at all. And am not judging if you are an expert or not. So please be patient with your words. I respect your views and I'm not getting angry, so please don't be arrogant.

As I said, I'm not an expert on every religion, but neither are you. Hinduism and Buddhism are not the only religions to revere women. Ancient Celtic faiths also revered women. The Wiccans of today often revere goddesses as well. I'm not going to argue with you over Hinduism and Buddhism, because it's not my field of expertise, and frankly, I don't care what they did in the past. I'm sure if you talked to enemies of those religions you'll hear stories, true or false, about bad things done by members of those faiths.

All I can say is that don't blame the religion because of the actions of the followers. For those who have done their research well, there are Muslim countries in the world that practices religious tolerance and promote peace and at the same time, there are many religious people/followers around the world that caused sufferings to others and Hindus are not excluded. Cheers!

I guess to some it would become a "Hate Site" and I suppose this could be the intention of the author, Zulfikar Khan, but I found it very interesting and informative. It certainly doesn't make me love these people. This religion has no tolerance but then when we read such things, wether we be Jews, Christians or Hindu, we have difficulty being tolerant of them as well.

Excellent point. When we are critics of others, it reflects back on ourselves. If anyone should know that, it would be me! Thanks.

It's a hate site. It's the Islamic view of an Extremist Hindu. It's not Islamic View of Hindus. I have many Hindu friends, Hindu and Christian neighbors there is no such issues. A normal Hindu will never say like that what most written against in it.

Thank you for the words of wisdom from the Holy Quraan. [61:8] But who does greater wrong than he who forges a lie against Allah while he is invited to Islam? Allah guides not the wrongdoing people. [61:9] They desire to extinguish the light of Allah with the breath of their mouths, but Allah will perfect His light, however much the disbelievers may dislike it. Would or could you discuss the possible interpretations of the meaning of these verses in this situation?
