It's November...getting closer to the new year. Have you come up with a New Year's Resolution for 2008 yet? If so, what is it? If not, maybe reading this will get you thinking (just remember to come back and fill us in when you think of your answer!!!). My New Year's Resolution is more of a wish than anything else, since I can't control everything. I'm wishing for a Happy and Healthy 2008, because this year has been the worst year of my life! I've got a ton of books from the library to read to try to help me learn to be happier, and workbooks of anxiety and fear. I've decided that since my health took a nose-dive this year, even though I've been eating healthy and exercising, that I'm going to focus more of 2008 on being happier, more positive, less anxious, etc. So here's to a Happy and Healthy 2008!!!

Congratulations! You are taking a very big and very difficult step! Happiness comes from within and if you understand the whys of within, the questions can be answered and you can be on your road to the happiness that you are after. Good luck, my friend!

Thank you bestisyettocome! I'm definitely learning a lot from these books that I got from the library. The good thing is that they all reference other helpful books. I've been keeping a list of those other books, so I can see if I can find them in the library. I'm just all gung-ho about this right now, so I'm trying to take in as much as I can, while I have the time. Thank you, and good luck to you in your endeavors!!!

As this has been a few months in coming...and you may be out of reading by now...PLEASE read "Who Moved My Cheese" by Dr. Spencer Johnson. Awesome read, and it has changed my life for the better. And as a favor, let me know what you think of it! Forward, always, is where happiness lies...

Well here it is almost March and I have yet to make any resolutions. However, they can be made at any time of the year or in your life for that matter. I would rather focus on one day at a time with the idea that over a period of time I could accomplish something. I think it is important to take things one step at a time and not get caught up in the impossibility of achieving a major goal all at once. Hope you can make things work out better in the coming months.

Well thank you sigma77. Things are looking for me in the health department, so hopefully the happy department will look up along with it. Now that they seem to know what's wrong with me, it's just a matter of adjusting my meds and me getting the right after-care and stuff. So, I'm just hoping that it all works out for the best. But like you said, I'm taking it one day at a time. Actually, being someone with borderline personality disorder, we take it step by step or hour by hour, or some times minute by minute.

My New Year's Resolution is going to be to get healthier, lose some weight and start eating better. In fact, I've started early LOL Seriously, I do need to work on it and so I've been making better choices and making more of an effort.
