I have a bit of a dilemma right now. I have the option to stay here with my boyfriend and his family for Christmas or go home (in another province) and spend Christmas with my family. It will be the first time in many years that my whole family will be together for Christmas and maybe the last for another long time. My problem is, I dont have a lot of money. I have some money in a savings account for a big trip that I am going on next year. Should I just dip into my savings and go home for Christmas and postpone the other trip or should I stay here and celebrate Christmas with my boyfriend and keep the money I save for the trip? I am a bit homesick and do want to go home, but I just cant decide if it is the right decision.

Personally, I would dip into that savings and be with family. We don't know who's going to be around next year and you woulnd't want to miss what could be someone's last holiday would you?

I'll just give you some opinions, since the deicision will still be your's. First, we don't know what your trip next year would be. If it's important, then I guess you have the good reason not to use it. But if it's not that important, then why not use the money to nejoy the Yuletide seasons together with your family as you said that it's very rare for the whole family to spend christmas all together. You never realize the importance of the celebration not until you miss it, so if ever there are opportunities for this once in a lifetime happening, it's better to grab it and enjoy the time!;) Who knows, maybe the money you spent there would be as worth and enjoyables like you never thought it would be!;)
