Have you ever watched Roseanne? Did you like it or hate it? Do you think they did a good job on the subjects of the show? Which Becky did you like better? I watched this show for a long time. I really liked it...I guess mostly b/c they dealt with real life problems like fighting family members, money problems, losing a job, raising kids, having utiilities turned off. It was just a great reality type show to me and I could relate to alot of the things in it. I liked the original Becky the best and didn't care much for the stand in they had. I want to get the episodes all on DVD eventually. So, what about you? Was there another show that you really liked and why? "COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS" **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

I wasn't allowed to watch Roseanne when it was still on. My parents didn't think it was appropriate. But once I got older, I started watching the reruns sometimes. I do think it is very realistic. I thought both Beckys were okay, I didn't really have a preference.

I do like to watch re-runs of Roseanne. Their writers are very clever. Have to admit that I am partial about John Goodman since he was born and rasied in my home state, not too far from where I was born and raised. He owns a restaurant here, so I understand.

I never cared for the show, twoey, because I don't think much of Roseanne. I really liked her when she first got started, but deteriorated into such a cheap person that I didn't care for her any more. Talented people don't have to stoop to being crude in order to have a good following. I just don't like in-your-face people.

I love Roseanne's show because it's reality and not a put on meaning, real problems of real life not the kind that shows things being given on a silver platter. I agree about the orginal Becky, I like her much better than the new one.

While I disagree that it was a reality type show (the Conners always seemed to come up with a lot more money than they depicted Dan and Roseanne to really be pulling down) I will agree that it was a GOOD show until the last season. That entire thing with them winning the lottery was ridiculous and the last episode was beyond surreal. I could have gotten behind it if she had just revealed that the lottery thing had been a fantasy but she eviscerated the entire plot of the show inside of about two minutes. Bad, BAD move on the writers' part. I also agree that Lecy Goranson was the better Becky. Sarah Chalke was all right but she's way better on "Scrubs."

I used to watch it all the time. You could really feel for the problems they were going through. I liked the first actress that played Becky. Just never cared for the other one.

Roseanne wasn't one of my favourite ever shows but it wa good watching, she was funny, I am very surprised the show doesn't seem to get repeated like a lot of the other shows, I think they did a good job with that show.

I still like it and watch it on Nick at night. I agree with the first Becky. I liked her a lot better then the new one. I guess it was the second one the way she acted I didn't care much at all for.

I have seen Roseanne show and it is ok. There are some episodes that I like better than others but for the most part the show was ok. I did find that they did deal with issues of children and every day life. There are some sit coms that are written very well to help the viewing audience with every day issues that come up. Maybe some one can not find a way to discuss a topic with their children so they have them watch a sit com that is airing an episode that deals with the problem. I look for shows that are funny and that have meaning. Roseanne is a good sit com in this aspect. There are many other shows that do this as well. However, most of the sit coms that are actually helping viewers were written back in the seventies. I liked the show happy days which also dealt with problems kids have. Then there was a show called One Day at A time. This sit com dealt with a sigle mom raising two daughters on her own.

Yes, I absolutely love this show. I liked the first Becky, but I grew to be ok with the second one. I liked that they dealt with the real life subjects, made the show humorous but dealt with serious subjects and made it real to you. You really connected with the characters and could see yourself in their place/shoes. Towards the end though, it was harder for me to get in the show before it went off air. It started getting a little outlandish.

I liked Roseanne. I Just liked that it was like real life. I mean, most of them were just outrageous and things like that didn't really happen. Like, the Cosby Show. Ok it's reasonable to think a family has a doctor for a father and a lawyer for a mother. But they were ALWAYS HOME and the family like...never fought except over stupid petty things. It was really pretty unrealistic. I liked that this was realistic. That is...until they won the lottery.

I liked watching Roseanne as well. It was real - almost like sitting in the room with a dysfunctional best friend. I like the first Becky, and didn't care much for the newer Becky. She just seemed a bit out of place. I have a great deal of admiration for Lecy Goranson and Sarah Gilbert's ability to walk away from the lure of Hollywood to go to college. BTW, I never cared for the DJ character and hated the way the show ended.

Yes, I have watched the show before and I too enjoyed it because it was based around "real" problems that a lot of families struggle with each day! Have A Great Day, PurpleTeddyBear.

Oh, yes, now I remember, I don't watch very much TV, but of the few shows that I used to watch, Roseanne was one of the ones that I liked watching! And I guess because it was the one that was most real to me, I just associated with it! I'm not much on these entertainment shows anymore, I am a documentaries, biographies, and live music concert type of guy!

I love Roseanne. The thing that I like most about it is that their problems are problems that many families deal with, money, disobedient teens, etc. The Cosbys were great in the 80's but really, how many of you had a week where the biggest dilemma was whether to go to Princeton or to Hillman? While the problems on Roseanne were often solved or settled or dealt with in the half hour of hte episode, they weren't always gone after that. They were still there, the family had just figured out how to deal with it that particular day.
