Which Console is better? Wii, XBox 360 or PS3?

I am considering a next generation console. Which should I get? I have a 10 year old that will play as well. Which would be best for him?

The fittest consloe for your picking is Wii. Why? 'cause Wii is especially designed for family that have children. You and your family mumber can gather before the tv set and paly Wii games happily.A pack of game come with the console and you can experience the joy of playing golf and tennis an your home. Besides, some top game company such as aega, square.enix etc. produce wonderful games for it. So, if your budget is tight, just pick Wii.

The 360 and PS3 may not be as innovative as the Wii, but they are so far beyond it in terms of graphics and processing power. It really comes down to what kind of games you want to play. For example, I love first person shooters. This takes out the Wii already and leaves me with the 360 or the PS3. The PS3 may be more expensive but I have a whole bunch of PS2 games that i don't want to just give up, therefore, I would choose the PS3. Just decide what it is you want to do with the next-gen systems and that will help you very much on your decision.

Truly dude, I am not trying to be a fan boy, but I'd say Wii. People now and days say all this stuff about being "mature" but who's to say what is mature and what is not? A lot of people down rate the wii just cause of its cartoon games. Heck 15 years ago everyone was playing old cartoon games whether adult or child. So overall if your looking for a good system for a good price(free online) with one of the most competitive games in the world(Super smash bros series)go for the Wii. Just cause it doesn't support for games that have gore spitting from the screen doesn't mean it cant have well platformed games. And if you want some good shooters, games like Metriod Prime 3, Resident Evil 4, are out their on the Wii. As my age is i don't care if i am 25 or 40 i will always enjoy these games.

I think that the wii is best for a ten year old. It is interactive, yet not corny. It has very nice games. The graphics might not be that good, but it is easily worth the cheap $250 price tag. My favorite games are Zelda: Twilight Princess, and Need for Speed: Carbon. It is also "eco-friendy" it uses only 18 watts of energy to play unlike the xbox and ps3 which rank at about 200 watts. It is a very fun experience for all ages. I say get the wii!

For him it would be between the 360 or the wii. The wii has many kid friendly games but in 4 years he will be 14 and those games will not be his main focus. I would say the 360 just make sure you choose his games for now.
