I like watching I found a fact about America's Next Top Model and I have watched 8 season of it and now I am starting the cycle 9. I found a fact, that is the winners are not moms. All the winners here are young girls, even if they are not married at all. Sometimes I think some candidates are good enough to be the champion, but they are moms already. I wonder whether due to this reason, they lost the opportunity to win it.

Good evening, dear youless. I also love to watch model show very much. They are all so elegant and it is some kind enjoyment to watch them performance on the T-stage. You are really nice and careful enough to have found the fact that the unmarried girls get easier chances to win the champions on this special stage, though I have found it out yet. I think that it is almost the same with most of the famous actors and actresses, who have more fans when they remain single.

The airing episodes of Top Model in the US is cycle 9, not 10. But it's true that there is no discrimination. I think the reason is because the mothers start to miss their family and it really effects their work and they end up doing poorly and getting sent home. When you're a real model, you're going to be away from home for extended periods of time and if they can't handle that then they probably won't make it anyway.

You got pretty good point there. I have never think about this. and you are so right. I am sure you remeber the one where was Natasha(russian girl) with that Jaslene and I was so sure Natasha would win it, because i think she was beautiful and also her personality was nice, but she never win it. I was so dissapointed with it, but maybe the reason was, becuase she was married and had a child. it is a shame, they don't give opportunity to win to those mum's and i think it is discrimination.

Yeah, I also feel so disappointed that Natasha couldn't win it. I don't like Jaslene at all.

America's Next top Model is also one of my favorite reality shows. You're right, the winners are not moms and they are absolutely all beatiful. The winners have great chances of making it big in the modelling and entertainment world.

Yeah, it's kind of sad, actually. America's Next Top Model is actually quite biased and often pick the winners according to fans' opinions. For example, Caridee and Melrose, I didn't like Melrose's personality, but I have to admit she was more talented than Caridee. Also, Caridee wasn't very tact and made that rude comment to Nigel... not something a good spokesperson would do. I also thought Natasha would win, but Jaslene, who, in my opinion, didn't even deserve to be in the top three was chosen instead. But even with all this, I still enjoy the show.

You are right. Actually I think Jaslene should be sent home earlier, at least Sara is better than her a lot.

i think that what happens is that companies that look for models look for people who are tall and slim, no hips, ... and so A.N.T.M winners tend to fit these characteristics( some mums tend to have their hips widened slightly due to pregnancy)... also in the first interviews a person who is a mum has many responsibilities.. and i think that A.N.T.M looks for people who are willing to dedicate their entire lives to being a model, which is quite hard when ur a mom, making it hard to get into the actual tv program itself. i think its quite a shame really cuz in my opinion a woman with hips is much prettier. ANyway i believe that things are changing and that model agencies are now looking for people such as mums, and who knows this may lead to a winning mum! i think that part of the reason that they lost may have been becuz they were mums.. however A.N.T.M does judge them on other criterias!!

If so, perhaps they have to say only single girls can attend to this competition.

I love America's Nest Top Model... and i am currently watching cycle 9 although is the States, Cycle 10 is already being aired...Tyra Banks is a genius in coming up with this show... And yes, i agree that all winner are single and childless... although a lot of contestants are very vocal about their having a baby or a husband... but i think this is not a factor for them in losing the competition...the judges are i think fair in their decision on who is to become America's next top model...

I dont think being married or having a baby is a factor for losing. I mean, at the end of each cycle, it boils down to who brought the house down and who is the fiercest.

But at least until now the one who is married or has a child hasn't won in this competition yet.
