Have you seen the new quarters? you will not believe...

My cousin sent me an e-mail and she said that the new quarters that they are handing out now have changed.She said Not to accept one...The new ones if you will notice does not have the logo "In God we Trust" She said they handed her 4 of these quarters and she handed them back to the cashier and told her ,i do not want this ,just give me a dollar bill..Have you heard anything about this??????

I realize the misunderstanding has been cleared up but I had to respond regardless...who cares? If ALL the U.S money were to not have In God We Trust on it what are ppl really going to do? Go back to the trade system (service paid by way of chicken for example)...good luck with that :-/
Money is money - who gives a damn whats on it, so long as we can use it what does it really matter?!

If it is so unimportant then why change things? Thats my point...The only reason would be to take God out of it..and we have taken God out of everything so far ...but as you said the matter has been cleared up and i am glad.Thank you for your response...

I haven't heard anything about the new quarters, I didn't even know new quarters were coming out. As you can see I am back home now. Thanks so much for your prayers, my mom is doing so good. She is home and feeling better and recovering nicely. I stayed with her a week and a half. I live across town from her, it just made more sense just to stay. She got so used to me there, she didn't want me to leave. I told her it was time, I have things I have to take care of. Take care and have a good night.

Hi Polly, I am so happy that your Mom is doing so good, it just tells you that prayer changes things don't it?These Moms never want you to leave..I use to stay with my Mom and oh she was so happy but when it came to me leaving she got so sad.We are still their little girls and if they could they would keep us forever.LoL..I had not heard of the new quarters either until my cousin sent me an e-mail, she lives in Louisana...She was just upset because now days they are trying their best to take God out of everything.We can't say Christmas anymore, they have even taken it out of the stores..and now they are on the money haha..but like you i have not seen any yet or not paid attention maybe.

I haven't heard anything about this. But, I would not accept any quarter that did not have "In God We Trust" on it.
This world is getting worse everyday and it is because of people who hate the Lord and are rebelling against Him. But, God wil have the Final Say and there is nothing anyone can do about that! Praise God!

Thank you Spring lady i would not accept one either.As you see though the matter has been cleared, it is the new dollar instead of the quarter,and it still has "In God We Trust " but on the side instead of the front...So Thank God for that.

I never pay attention to the change I'm given so I haven't seen these yet. I can't believe their doing this now! If I notice it I will also give them back. I want nothing to do with them!

I don't really see why it matters in the first place. The phrase "In God we trust" did not appear on any money until the Cold War (roughly the 1950's during the missile crisis in Cuba). This was to "scare" the communists because the government thought that having God put on the money would make communists think God was against them in the battle.

Well it is all clear now anyway. The discussion above yours cleared up the whole matter.It is not the quarter it is the new dollar coin, and it still has "IN GOD WE TRUST" but it is on the side...Thank you for the information anyway because what you said in your reply i did not know that...I feel so foolish right now!!!

Don't worry about feeling foolish because you aren't. It's good to learn about new things because then you know a little bit more. The only stupid question in the world is the one you don't ask, because then you may never find the answer to it. Sorry for the delay in answering. I've been visiting relatives since Sunday.

I have heard of it, but haven't seen any and if I did, I would do the same thing, hand it back, to me, it wouldn't be real American money..
