Another very strange decission taken by the Indian selectors to make anil kumble the captain of the India test team. I dnt know what do they think when they make a decision. He will be the captain for how many days and then what. I don’t understand what is the need of a separate captain when the one at present is not doing that bad. I think dhoni is doing well. He is just new to the role and he is bound to make mistakes, for that you cannot take such idiotic decisions. Make him the captain and let him learn. This is what I feel, and if you are so keen in not making dhoni the captian then you always have saurav ganguly as the captain. He is till date the mot successful captian in the history of Indian cricket.

Well its a long awaited decision. He deserved it like anything. He has served the team for so long. He has a clever mind and determination to make it turn around. Dhoni is too young

thanks for sharing the fact with me. i hope not us but even the selectors get some good thing in their brains. right now they only have garbage inside their brains and that is why such comical decisions. they should understand that in India cricket is not just a sport for us. its our pride, our passion. so they should do justice.

Well this was a long awaited justice done to a player who has selflessly served Indian cricket for over 15 years. He should have got it a lot earlier in his career. But its never too later hope Anil Kumble will turn the fortunes of Indian test team with his clever mind.

Test cricket is a different ball game altogether unlike one day cricket and "flash in the pan" 20-20 cricket.the selectors have done the right thing by making Kumble the test captain. kumble is a very intense, dedicated and experienced person. It doen't matter if he can't be captain for a long duration, considering his age. Dhoni can gain a lot of experience playing under kumble in the longer version of the game and this will come handy when he eventually does become test captain.

Guys and gals...to some extent if you say that its justice done ...but i do not believe it ..kumble had to come forward and say that he would love to be captain if given a chance...so u see he has become captain when we donot have many options...even then i would prefer dhoni to be captain as it would give him experience and to take right decisisons in the forth coming series.

i agree with u that dhoni is doing well and that let him learn more thrugh captaincy .. but i have my own analysis about kuimble . initially there were 5 possible candidates . first was dravid who had resigned so no question about him . second was tendulkar who denied too . third was ganguly but as the selectors have already stripped him of captaincy , they may have ignored him irrespective of his good record (i dont agree with them ). fourth was dhoni . he is still very new to test cricket . he is probably not established as a test player keep aside the captaincy . test captaincy needs much more insight of the game which dhoni may develop by playing many more games in future . fifth and last choice was kumble . he seemed to fit in the job because of his seniority and ability to understand the game better due to his experience . so i think kumble has an edge over dhoni in test captaincy .

i agree with you but inorder to lead any team in test captain should be experrience which dhoni is lagging.kumble is experience player and he has enougf play of trest series and dhoni will get tierd if he handel both as the case with phatan who lost its bowling because of batting and out of the team.
