I have internet explorer 7 and I don't know what has happened but I used to be able to just type in mylot.com (exp.) in my address bar now when I do that I get an error and I have to type the whole address www.mylot.com. I find it really annoying because I'm not used to typing the www. so I'm always getting errors. I have looked in my internet options and I just can't seem to find anyway to change it back. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Do you type the whole address out when you are going to a website?

If you go to the internet explorer properties there should be an option that saids use default, apply that and see if it works if doesn't best recommendation is to use Mozilla Firefox being that its the safest to browse the internet better and faster

Hi, I suspect your windows registry is a wee bit corrupted. Are you familiar with editing the windows registry? If yes, I refer you to this link which should solve your problem - http://www.pctools.com/guides/registry/detail/261 . There is no undo in regedit so if you are not confident or savvy enough, I suggest you get someone experienced to help you. Otherwise, you might crash your computer or worse. :P If you are not savvy, I have an interim solution for you. Instead of typing the full www.mylot.com, I suspect that typing just mylot then pressing enter might work for you. Don't type mylot.com, just type mylot. If it doesn't work, then hmm... get the registry fixed. If you fix it and the problem still persists, beats me. :P

Sometimes our computer will have some strange problems suddenly. There are many reasons, one is your computer might be attacked by the computer virus. If you are using Windows XP Professional. I suggest you to recover the operating system to the day your computer was still fine. It is very easy to fix most of the strange problems. Start menu--accessories--system tool--system recovery I hope it will be helpful for you.

not sure on this specific problem, but i would open up internet explorer and do all your windows updates, through tools then select windows updates and restart, if that doesn't fix the problem i would consider converting over to firefox.
