New or Used Car?

Well, I had to get a different car on Saturday and I wasn't sure of what I wanted so we went to a couple of used lots and I did find some really nice cars. I ended up getting a 95 Buick Roadmaster that I believe is a one owner car and has been taken great care of. It is spotless inside and out and I love it!! However, it does have 155,000 miles on it and that worried me a little bit. I was scared that it might not last as long as I was hoping that it would. I could have gotten something with less miles but that I didn't like as well. It made me wonder what everyone else does. Would you buy a used car or a new one why? I have never had a new car and I am not sure that I would want one.

I have just put my car up for sale too. I have pictures of it. It's a 94 Buick Century. I hate to sell it but I have too. I think you will enjoy your car. There's just nothing better than a Buick. I'd love to see a picture of your car. Is used cars out there expensive? I have no idea what I should be asking for a price. Guess until someone comes I have time to decide.

Buicks are nice cars! I like them a lot. I also loved the Cadillac that I had although it was starting to break down. Used cars are sort of high if you aren't careful. I gave almost $4,000 for mine. It is in great shape though and is very clean inside too!

I've never had a new car either. My husband's 91 pickup truck has about 270,000. It still runs pretty good, though it may need a valve job soon (this would be the first major job since we got it). We bought it from the original owner (we know him personally) 2 years ago and he (the previous owner) always had the maintenance done at the dealership. My new used car that I got almost 3 months ago is over 7 years old. When I got it it had right under 56k on it. I ran a carfax (which came up clean) and my husband checked out the car. Okay, so he's not a mechanic, but he is pretty knowledgeable about cars. I am comfortable with him making the final decision when it comes to buying a car. Just because a car has a lot of miles doesn't mean it has no life left. So long as it was well taken care of (regular maintenance done, never raced, ect) it should last for some time to come.

This car has been taken very good care of and it is as clean as if it was a brand new one off the dealership floor. I love my car!!!

I don't know a lot about used cars, carolscash, but from everything I've heard the care the previous owner gave to it seems very important. The mileage should only be a concern if you are planning to put a lot of miles on it yourself.

I will put a lot of miles on it myself but I think that you are right about the care that the previous owner gave the car. If they were good about oil changes and maintanence then the car should be a good one.
