What do you THink of Horror movies?

I want to start an honest discussion about these. I went to see 30 days of Night tonight and realized how much I love horror movies.
First reason, this movie made me sick to my stomach. All the blood and gore, and the things the people had to do to survive were horrible. It reminds me that I am human and that I cannot tolerate vilolence such as this. It goes on all over the world.. As we speak 1000s of people are being killed.
Second reason, in horror movies people are put in impossible situations. They are forced to do things that they would not have to do otherwise. I think they show the courage and strength and brutality of the human character.

I know.. I went to see it alone too. All my friends had either already seen it or had no interest in seeing it. It was dark and stomy on my way home. I was a little freaked out.

That would be freaky. The night we went to see the movie Twister it was thundering and lightenting and rain was coming down so hard it flooded the streets that was weird!

I really like horror movies especially vampir movies I really like the dracula movies too. I want to see 30 days of Night it really looks good. My husband loves movies withe werewloves in them. My favorite horror writer is Stephen King.

Me too I really like vampire movies. One of my favourite movies of all time is Interview with the vampire, but I guess thats not really a horror movie. American werewolf in paris and london were also very good. Stephan King is good too. I have trouble getting into his books but I really like the adaptations to the screen.
