I was told about an organization here in Melbourne that rescues donkeys, oh what a wonderful lot of people they are, they love all the donkeys that come to them or are rescued by them, I know some people who let them put a few donkeys on their property and they love them so much they have someone who makes plaques with their name on them when they pass away, they all have their names and are looked after for all their days, and they make no profit from any of it, you know you hear of all the bad things in this world and it is people like these that brings your faith in humanity back.. http://home.vicnet.net.au/~donkeysh/

That is a very good news to read when everywhere else people got hurt and killed. I am sure that all this good deeds that they are doing will be rewarded accordingly in one way or another.

this is a heart warming story. the sad thing is that we watch the news and that only reports bad news. we never hear of these touching storys!

Yes I know what you mean I am actually thinking of donating mt Mylot money to them, I will just save up til I have a nice round sum, I think these people are so wonderful...

This is the sort of thing I would like to hear about more often. It makes me feel happy to know these animals are being cared for and that there are people like this in the world. It's quite a simple thing really. I wonder why it is that this sort of thing gets overlooked or dismissed while we go on to read and discuss avidly about murder, rape or terrorism and other such horror?

Yes and these people are so genuine, it is lovely, they just love donkeys and will do anything to help them and they will always take them in with quite a few people on their books that let them use their land, I think it is wonderful

This is reminding me to check in and see how things are going with the Mustangs in this country... they had been targeted for slaughter until word got out... I remember lots of adoptions going on. Thanks for the reminder!
