Where do you get your Christmas tree from

We usually go and have it cut fresh from a nearby Christmas tree farm. But before we moved where we are now, we use to get it from the usual hardware store. Do you cut your tree or is it pre-cut.

Up untill last year we always had a fake tree. Last year we went to a tree farm and got a real one. The kids picked it out and we cut it down. It smelled so good. This year we are going to go get another one. An even bigger one. I have more room in my new house.

Aren't fresh cut trees just wonderful? I love the smell in the house during the Christmas season. And getting an even bigger tree this year is going to be so much fun!

I get my tree out of a box in my storage room. I've never really gotten into the whole real tree thing. We had one once when I was little but it looked more like a big bush. I think some family member claimed to have some great trees and would bring one for us...we made it work to be nice but it still looked like a decorated bush.

LOL Decorated bush! I always had a real tree, even if it was pre cut. This year will be the first tree in this house that is not a fresh cut tree. We are going to invest money in an artificial tree, so hopefully i'll look as good, or better than a real tree.

We use to cut our own down. it was a family thing, even as their kids started to move out we all got together to do trees together, than mom and dad were both diagnosed with heart problems so cutting down trees are just not practical anymore. So the local fruit stand sells trees and thats where we all been getting ours the last few years

I'm sorry your parents health is not what it use to. But the tradition you had sounded like a great one. Maybe you'll be able to start something similar with your family.

We like to make it a family thing and go out and cut it ourselves then come home and decorate it while drinking egg nog and hot chocolate for the kids. It is something fun that we all look forward to every year.

That sounds like so much fun! Usually i'm the one decorating the tree, but I think we're about ready to start another tradition, now that we have our own little one. This will be his 2nd Christmas, but 1st tree decorating 'party.
