I am, but that's because we're having the dinner cooked for us. We figured out that it is cheaper to have someone else do the cooking than for us to buy the turkey, the stuffing, gravy, mp, cranberries, rolls, etc. I know half the fun of Thanksgiving day is to cook, but I'm going to pass on it this year.

I got a turkey 18 lbs, stuffing, potatos{make homemade mashed}, corn, green been casserole stuff, rolls, and pumpkin pie all name brand for less than 50$. I didnt think that was to bad. The turkey was only 1$ a pound. I got an 18 pound turkey for 18$. I love cooking thanksgiving. We are invited to two other places for dinner. And I am still cooking at home. I am going to be stuffed!!

And that was for a dinner for 6-8. I shop at wal mart. They have great prices and you dont have to buy cheap brands. I buy name brand and still save money.

I don't have a Super Walmart around my house, so our walmart is just a 'regular' one and doesn't have any food supplies. I shop at Stater Brothers, and their prices are pretty low, but I guess not low enough.

We went this weekend and got the groceries for Thanksgiving Dinner. It's been 4 years since I even helped out with any of the cooking, at my mom's. The past 2 years we have had dinner at my boyfriend's mom's house, which was nice, but it wasn't a good ole southern Thanksgiving dinner lol. So, this year, my oldest daughter and her hubby are coming up from Virginia, it's been 3 years since she had our traditional dinner, and we're going to cook and bake, using my mom's recipes. I'm looking forward to it so much, I miss the smells coming from my mom's kitchen, and although being with his family has been great and has made the holiday easier for me, being away from family, it will be nice to cook, and we'll be calling my mom and dad and my sister, and youngest daughter on Thanksgiving Day, we live 1600 miles apart.

Your plans sound wonderful. I bet you'll have a load of fun cooking for your family...especially since it'll be a nice southern traditional Thanksgiving. Have a great thanksgiving with your family. Nica
