Some guys gave a speech at our school today complaining that TV shows like south park is way offensive and should be knocked off television. I think all this is a load of crap. Its a cartoon people. Its meant to tickle your brain not to stress it out. In my opinion the people who think stuff like this is offensive and blah blah blah are just those who have nothing else to do and just whine about. Its supposed to be funny and shouldn't in any way taken seriously, At ALL!! South Park makes fun of everything and everyone, its not biased in any way. Anyway to conclude things up I dont think any of you in mylot will feel anything bad about this show since you guys just have the brains, and a thing called humour. Which unfortunately lacks in those bunch of kids in my school. What do you guys think?

Thats why its a successful show... Cause some people are laughing with the incidents in the show and some get furious about it... I personally love southpark. Maybe your kids in your school are Barbra Streisand's fans :P hahahaha :)

People complain way too much, they always have and always will. People do not understand satire at all, nor do they understand that south park is satire.

All I can say is that's why a TV has a little button to change channels with. If someone doesn't like it they sure don't have to watch it! Annie

Southpark is only offensive to people who don't understand the whole message of the show. Southpark continuously circles around the question of why certain groups of people act as ignorant as they do. They question the worlds stupidity in an entertaining way and i love it.

Seconded. South Park is good. I don't get to watch it as much but still good show and for a show like it, its got some messages that people could stand to listen to. Those that want to take it off fail to consider free expression (well nowadays people and groups have plenty of TV, media and radio they want cancelled: "adult", vulgarity, talk radio... anything so they can impose the narrow box they think in on the rest of us...)

I totally agree with you. First of all it's tv show. People kill me getting so uptight about what's on tv. If you don't like it, you don't have to watch it. It's obvious the show is for adults. Look at the time of day it comes on. It comes on at a time when most kids should be in bed anyway. I do think it's not appropriate for kids and that parents should do a better job of policing what their kids are watching.

I agree with you. South park is meant to pass an important message to people in a funny way, since most people wont listen serious things.

South Park, even though it's a cartoon show, is tagged as "M" or has mature content. It is also aired way past childrens' bedtimes ( It is where I am) so it's only for adults that enjoy this kind of humor. In my opinion, South Park is successful because it revolves around everyday events and issues and about famous people, and it somehow molds them to be both funny and offensive at the same time. It's at the top of my favorite cartoons list. BEEFCAKE!!!

i love south park! it's fun and really, it's refreshing to watch a show that doesn't give a damn about political correctness and not offending anyone.

Totally agree with you. Southpark jokes are very smart and give good messages as well. In my country they are showing south park late at night to prevent kids watch it. And southpark is my favorite show.

Calling for cancellation or boycotts of a TV show will only cause more people to tune in. The same thing happened back in the '80s when people tried to get "Married...With Children" and "The Simpsons" taken off the air. People should change the channel or turn the TV off if they don't like a program, and parents should decide whether their kids are old/mature enough to view shows with adult content.

I was a child when I first watched south park. I hated the show back then because its not very funny to a little child. However, when I was older, I watched the show again and I was hooked. It really has a message. South park is not for children, its for adults. Its a satirical view of poeple and everything else. To those who are willing to hear the message - the show is an eye opener.

The thought of the put down speech of south park in school just makes you smile at getting out.

I love South Park. My favorite part about the show is the fact that they will not stop at anything and will make fun of everything. I really dont understand how someone can be offended by a show that doesnt ever just pick ONE person and stick with them, it is always a group or several groups.
