Do you control your anger in front of your kids?

My husband and I try control our anger in front of our kids because we don't want to scare them or teach them to do that. There was a time when we were trying to locate a spot to park at the beach. We circle around like for an hour, when we found one someone took it. We had our lights on and was waiting for the car to pull out and when we were about to get into the spot, this crazy guy cut us and pulled into it. We honked at him once and he gave us the finger. My husband wanted to go and beat the crap out of the guy and I wanted to shout out a few choice words and show him the birdy too. But with our kids there we just drove off and found another spot. What would you have done?
