I have always bit my nails. now my girls, ages 2 and 4, have picked up the habbit. i just caught them one on the couch biting her finger nails and the other sitting on the couch biting her toe nails. I hate that and I tell them to stop and they will stop. But I bit mine, and they see me and they think that they can do it. the only way for me to not bit them is to get my nails done with acrylic. At the moment I do not have them done. What are some ways to break the habbit for me and the girls?

I clip mine and I do the same for my son. He sometimes bites his but if I keep them short then he doesn't really have any nails to bite.

The best way is to keep them clipped and filed regularly. Less tempting to pick and bite at rough edges. Biting toe nails is really bad germ wise, so you really want to encourage your daughters not to do that. Maybe, try clipping, filing, and painting their toe nails with pretty polish... Good luck.
