Contact lens or eyeglass.

It couldn’t be denied that contact lenses could give a person a nicer appearance. But it is difficult to manage and maintain. We need a proper lotion for the eyes and sterilizer for the lenses when unused. Anyhow they have much convenience when the user is doing physical exercise excluding swimming of course. If they are used for a long time the user’s eyes will become tired and uncomfortable. The eyes are easily infected with diseases if the lenses are contaminated. So the user must sterilize his hands before handling the lenses. Lenses get easily spoiled when they happen to drop down. Once my friend did accidentally drop one of her lenses into the washing basin and it had then gone for good, even though lots of friends (we were having vacation in a hill station) were helping her to search for it in the drain outside.

Eye glasses are obviously more safe to use. Contact lenses are good to look at but have many hassels associated with them. I had ontact lenses and it did not suit me. I had to discontinue the use with advice of doctor.

I used eyeglasses till std X but after that I switched to contact lenses (rather my mom took me to the ophthalmologist and I am glad she did). Its been almost 20yrs now and my lenses have become an inseparable part of me. They are very comfortable. Nowadays, a lot of option in contact lenses have come up. I am sure one can find the most comfortable ones, though these maybe a tad expensive.

Of course it is safe to use the traditional eyeglasses. No matter what, the contact lens still need to contact the eyeballs and sometimes there will be any accidents. Even if you don't wash your hands clean enough, you eyes may be infected because of contact lens.

i am a nearsighted guy with astigmatism. ever since i have been using eyeglasses. i prefer to use eyeglasses over contact lenses because of the irritating issue and that i feel eyeglasses are more cheaper than contact lenses.sanitary issue is another factor why i prefer eyeglasses over contact lenses. good day.

Hi ciades :) It depends if its contacts then you have to take very good care of them by cleaning them and sanitizing because you can get a eye infection very easily,ive had one before,but they are very convienent!Glasses leave finger prints on them,if you fall you can smash them in your face,they hide your face features,but i prefer them over contacts because of the non-infections and no sanitizing/cleaning alot.Contacts tend to dry the eyes out abit and you have to put special contact moisturizing drops in during the time you have them in.I scratched my eye also once when a tiny speck got between my contact and my eye which hurt like he!!making alot of pain,since then i never wore them again. Hi there, now I am still using my old pair of glasses. But recently I feel that the glasses couldn’t serve me well as they provide me a rather blurred vision when reading or doing mylotting. Good evening, dear ciades. I think that wearing contact lens gets our eyes easily infected with some disease, as can be seen from some of my students, who are using them. I don't like to have contact lens at all because I would not feel comfortable with something extra in the eyes, just like the saying, "my eyes cannot hold even a piece of sand". I think that it is still better to wear eyeglasses.

I think eyeglasses is much safer to use because eyeglasses will not be put directly to your eyes unlike contact lens it will be put directly to your eyes. I think if your friend don't like her eyeglasses because she look like a maiden on it, i suggest that she choose what is the new style of eyeglasses frame that will not make her like a maiden.
