I have quit from my previous job due to the loads of stress and my boss's behavior towards me. What are the reasons that would force you to quit your job? Have ever you done it? Are you thinking about it every once in a while? I believe there are very few people that actually love their job, and like to work in general don't you think? I mean think about it..don't we all do it for the money? Because if we were rich, we wouldn't work or we would work as a hobby

I have quit jobs in my past. Once I was working at an insurance company and I couldn't stand that you had to ask permission to use the bathroom like a child. We had to take a keyring to the bathroom as a bathroom pass. I was astounded that we were treated like children in school so I left. Another time I became so overloaded in work, I had to leave, I wasn't paid enough and I didn't have enough training to do what they were forcing me to do, even after I spoke with the manager about the training that I didn't receive. Didn't matter, they still wanted me to do the work of others and I felt so overwhelmed that I almost cried every time I knew I had to go there. Another time I walked off of the job because my boss was an evil witch. She would tell me my hours were 8:30 - 5:30 and then yell at me when I wasn't there at 8:00. The last day she screamed at me about why wasn't the printer filled with paper. I thought to myself "because you bungling moron, you printed a 200 page real estate contract this morning. Because the night before I did fill it up". As far as I know paper doesn't fill itself. Anyhow, she told me that I wasn't doing my job and that I needed to get my a** in gear or I would be out of a job. I told her to stick it and I will happily start looking for another job now, since no one could do my job to her specifications, good luck on finding someone. So I walked off the job. My friend was there for some time and she said they still couldn't find anyone to stay more than a couple of weeks because she was a tyrant and impossible to please. I lasted over a month, so I was very proud of myself lol! If your not happy with your situation at work, don't hesitate to find something that does make you happy. We all work for the money, but there is nothing to say that you can't have happiness and money.

I think about it everyday at work..... I do like what I do, but there is one woman there who is making a lot of trouble for me. I go in and do my work, and I do not bother anybody or get involved in anybody elses business, so I do not understand why she is doing this. I am just waiting for an opportunity to talk to my boss about it.

Hi,there! I quit my first job which is my previous job. I quit it cause I don't agree with the rules and the management of the company.I don't like the style of the company and the way they act. So finally I quit.My current job is my second job and I somehow like it pretty much.I like my current company cause they really care about the staff.I also like my colleagues cause most of them are very nice and warm-hearted people:) Thanks for your discussion and have a nice day! I hope you are happy with your current job^_^

Last December I quit my job at a local factory to start my own retail business. Sometimes I wish I would have stayed there. Believe it or not, there is alot less stress when you work for someone else.

Yeah, actually I only started last Nov 12 here with my present job. We have opposite reason why we quit our previous job, you, because of loads of stress and your boss' attitude towards you, me, because I'm bored with the said job because I always do nothing, just seat to my designated place and table and wait for my off-time, I don't like those job, ever since I've worked after graduation, I used to work always with heavy work loads.

I have not ever thought of quitting any job..There have been some jobs that were very trying..but it is not in me to quit.. Like so many I have bills to pay and no one to help me if I should all of a sudden become unemployed. I sure hope you find work...this is a very bad time of year to quit. I know stress can really tempt a person..sometimes though..it may just be that temptations.

I have it done it once, but not due to work load.I am working in an IT field as a network administrator. If some one offers more salary than my present one, there is nothing wrong in quiting the old job.But before quiting any current job,we have to find a good one.

I have not considered quitting my job since I moved out of my parents house or at least not unless I found another job first. I would not quit a job without having another job lined up first since I have a mortgage to pay and other expenses. If I do not like the job,I will search for something else instead of not having any income at all coming in. If I were still living with my parents, I would have considered quitting a job right then.

I did once, I got job of teaching in a new branch of a very prestigious school in India but work load was too mucha nd my boss had favorites. My son was getting neglected too due to work load so I quit after teaching for first term. It was PTA meeting day and I just handed over the report cards and then went to see the principal and handed in my resignation. She said all the parents she had come across have told her I was the best teacher they ever had for their wards, now what is she going to tell them. I told her that she has been harrassing me for full three months and I can not take it any more and just walked out. I still feel I missed the chance but the politics was getting too much for me.

I'm considering it now. It wouldn't be until at least the first of the year. There is a lot of stress here for me now, and I'd rather not get into the details of it, as it makes me sad. I'm hoping to get some things I have going on going a little stronger such as a company I'm a sales rep for on the side and some internet things by the first of the year so I can take a lesser paying job. Really, the only thing that is keeping me here is my pay. It'll be very hard to find another job that pays as well as this one does, but it's almost not worth it anymore.

If I were truly unhappy with my job, I would be on the lookout for another job and then quit my job. I have never just walked out on a job without another job lined up.

Well, I have to say that I am lucky, because I love my job, I love what I do, and has been this way in all the jobs I had. When I picked what I wanted to do in my life, I guess was a good decision, and so far in every job there are always difficult days... The way that I see my job, is as a hobby, that I get paid for it!

There were times when I thought I would fall into things on the net and become my own boss-I have not found that chance, and the way things are, my job still remains my main livelihood. No consideration for quiting just yet.
