I never go shopping on "black Friday" I dont like it at all.but my computer crashed which I must use for work.. Purity_scan trojan attacked it and took over every file and security save suite as well. I also had a hacker who was able to connect through my sound files..How does one do that .. I don't know but his fellow did..and I could here his rock music..him laughing etc. Everytime I tried to get an antivirus adware removal ..to undo it popups killed them and shut down the computer.. I gave in..and ran to Walmart for a pretty nice laptop .. It has vista..which I am not to happy about..but it's not that bad on the computer system.. It also has a good security suite. I can tell you..I don't download things on the computer..I am thinking that some of the paid to clicks or paid to sign up programs had some virus or other. I paid $450 for monitor, keyboard, mouse, cpu etc.. Basically it came ready to go out of the box. IT was making it through Walmart on a day like today ..and trying to get the last computer..it was who was fastest;) LOL

I am glad that you made it there and back safely. I know the store had to be crowded and traffic was probably very busy and of course you have to deal with crazy people out there. Sorry to hear about your computer crashing. That is why I am happy to have my Mac. No viruses to worry about since the viruses target Windows systems. Laptops are nice and you can take it with you on trips. :-) Does it have wireless internet capabilities? You will have to let me know how Vista works. I know it has compatibility problems with software and hardware made for XP.

Ken, I only spent an hour away all together..I simply ran with my buggy to where I thought the on sale computer would be ...shelves were almost cleared then I ran to the dairy section. in Walmart..they had it there in the aisle..I would never have thought to find it there..lol Got it and ran home.

You must be using windows program. You should switch to a mac. I am sure there are deals you can get for a mac.

Hi littlefranciscan! Gosh, that bad huh?! I don't know how hackers get into our system but i think we should have a firewall in our computer to somehow take care of the hackers. I thought it was just viruses that attacked your computer which i have read from your comment on my response to your other discussion, i see now that it is much worst. I hope you can still save the other one. Take care and have a nice day. :)

That was such bad luck.... I have to say that I have vista on my laptop and I find it very good. My previous computer was windows 98. I took a big step lol, but I would never go back. As for the virus and hacker attack, I would strongly reccomend nod32. It is very good, and a warning flashes on your screen when something is detected, it sorts it straight away and gets rid of it. :-)

Nice. I don't understand why people don't like Vista, my parents bought me a laptop a little over a month ago as an early christmas gift because I'm going to school online and my Windows 98 just wasn't cutting it. I like it. Anyhow, that's a pretty good system, except you could have gotten similar for around the same price from Dell for a desktop couldn't you? I can't do the black friday thing. Last year I almost convinced myself to do it to buy myself a tv and I just couldn't bring myself to go out and shop with the crazy folk! ha ha.
