I'm a mom of a two young boys. One of them is almost 2.5 and has only two true words. Mom and Dad. I'm just wondering if there are any other parents on here who struggle to help their children with a language delay.

My son had a speech delay he was 2 years and 9 months when he started precshool and started taking speech therapy he was only saying about 4 words and never put two word together. Now he is 11 and never shuts up!

That's great to hear. Thank you for sharing your story. It's really hard when all his peers are flying ahead of him. He sees a speech pathologist twice a week, so hopefully this will help him even further.

My niece was also a late talker. Try getting help from a speech pathologist or speech therapist, if you are sure that your boys have no hearing defect. hope it helps.
