i agree with you. After the things that he done for chelsea i think that mourinho is the best choice for england. England needs now a real coach like him.

I think Mourinho will really suit England. But the problem is that he is asking for a salary of the order of 4m Sterlings and that is the real problem !

It seems that Mourinho has already declined along with the likes of Martin O Neil, Sam Allardyce and Hiddink. I think Fabio Capello is now emerging as a man who can take over the job. The other surprising entrant seems to be Harry Redknapp!! Cheers! Ram

Mourinho Mourinho Mourinho! He is the only guy that the English lads will actually listen to, respect & look up to, esp the Chelsea boys. He is very very popular in England not only with Chelsea fans but everybody & is the peoples choice without a doubt. I read today in the national press that he has made a 'Come & get me' plea to the English FA but apparently sources close to Mourinho have said otherwise. The guy is a legend in his own lifetime & there are very few that can come close. The also rans I guess are Capello, Redknapp, Hiddink & possibly Klinsman. Personally I do not care if the manager is not English, but he MUST have experience of European football at the very least. There is only one man that can turn is into world beaters, and that man is 'The Special One'.

I agree with you lads, I think the problem with the England national side is that there are some pretty big egos involved which needs to be sorted out and put in its place. I think Jose Maurinho is the right man to do it.I don't like his style of football, though......

well . there has been many names flowing around right now as who should be the next coach of England . after .. Mclaren was sacked as a result of the dissapointing performance of England in Euro 2008 qualifier and failing to qualify for it . names of Guus Hiddink , Jose Maurinho , Sam Allardyce , Martin o neil , Harry redknap , Fabio capeelo are doin the rounds . well .. my choice is rather different . i wont vote for any of the names that i mentioned . but i would suggest .. that the next england Coach should be Alan Shearer. i think he has played under enough mangers to know what is needed of him in this role ..he has played with soem of the current players so i think he would be able to judge the strngth and weakness of his team :)

I dont think dropping all the seniors would be a good idea, because Gerrard , Lampard and Terry have a lot of football left in them.....

England need Mourinho to be their coach. Given England's deplorable condition and Mourinho's credentials, he seems perfect for the job. Only he can turn around England's fortunes. Mourinho believes in getting the job done no matter what. England needs that. They need the steel and determination to scrap out results. They just need to know their limitations. Mourinho is just the person who can teach them that and also how to perform best staying within those limitations.

Surely after the miserable attempt for a local manager (Steve McLaren) to manage the England team, the FA will look at a foreign manager to replace him. Fabio Capello has indicate interest and jurgen Klinsmann also looks favourite to land the job. Although Jose Mourinho has declined, I will not be surprised if in the end he accept the job. Guys like Mourinho love the most difficult of challenge, and what else could prove more difficult than to manage a high profile team of overpaid star players with unreasonable expectation from the fans, England! Furthermore, he knows how to bring the best out of Frank Lampard who is always disappointing when played for England compared to Chelsea
