do you ever get random flashbacks?

Sometimes I will be just sitting or doing something ..and then out of the blue I will get a flashback of something that happened long ago, something I 'd pretty much forgotten about..and it will be totally unconnected and ..its just weird that you still have that memory stored away ..and you cant think why its come rushing back to you ..is htere a reason ... why does it happen ..although it doesnt happen much ..but itll happen couple of time when it does..i guess I fall into nostalgia..or one memory triggers another..and I'm young! any answers people

I also believe this could be nostalgia, I don't think there would be any other reasons to get flashback of something not connected with your present life.

I have them too. Especially over the last two weeks. But I certainly had many before. My theory is that whenever something is about to get erased from our memory, maybe to make some room, it shows up in our conscience to check if deletion is ok :)

I do get flashbacks like that... and by the way, I am not a old man... I think it is pretty normal and sorry, I have no scientific answers why this happen.

I've gotten those at times an find them amusing because often its a joke or situation a friend has told me about. I try to contain my laugh but often I just laugh out loud.
