I have noticed that their are alot of discussions about legitimate work at home oppertunities. I really appreciate those and feel that they are most helpful. But what I want to know is which ones are scams. I want to know which sites to stay away from. Alot of you say that you have been scammed! Please be kind enough to share that info with us so that we don't fall prey to them as well.

I was in one and it was HORRIBLE... I lost $40. It was like a call center from home type of job. On the other hand my friend earned. Now I work for a very legitiment co. It takes a little time to build but you earn up front commission payable weekly. http://www.directmatches.com/zedstootsie It is a bit like MySpace but for buisness people!

A pretty good guideline about how so-called work at home opportunities could be scams and schemes is available from the Federal Trade Commission - www.ftc.gov/bizopps. Mostly, what you will find on the Internet are work at home opportunities selling something -- not job offers. There are not many places to make money on the internet just surfing, etc. I haven't seen any surveys, etc., that pay much and you should never pay money to get information about such things. As you will see from the "ftc", buying and selling that type of information may be what the business consists of, and is without value to me. Some information products, such as "how to" books can be a legitimate product to sell, if the information can be a genuine benefit to the customer. Information is the most demanded product ever offered. Without a sale somewhere of some kind, though, there is no income.

I work with a company that is called Coastal Vacations. It is marketing travel packages. All work is done over the phone & online. It is not a scam. I am not trying to pressure you to work with me - but if you want to check out my website feel free. www.workwithcoastal.com Before joining anything, you should speak with a few people in the company and feel comfortable with whoever you will be working with. Good luck with your search!!

I bought a work at home program called type at home. DONT BUY THIS! It is listed in the top 10 work at home site programs, but let me tell you its a scam. There was NOTHING about typing from home in there at all. It was basically showing you how to make money except you had to spend so much money doing what he advised that you never make any PLUS everything he said you could find for free on most work at home sites. I just requested my refund (it claimed to have a money back guarantee) we shall see. If he doesnt follow thru and refund my money, then ill plaster that all over ever site I post on. If you want to waste 50 bucks then fine, but im kicking myself in the behind LOL
