Marriage and happiness

No I don't agree with that statement, happiness is the meaning of life, everyone does eveything that the end result is happiness, as we only get one chance of this life we are given we should be happy, marriage is only good in the happiness stakes if you are lucky to pick someone that is going to make you happy for the rest of your life, to be honest I don't see much of that, everyone is given the gift of life, none of us knows how long that gift is going to last and none of us know what if anyhting is after this life so you should make the most of what you have while you have it and be happy...happiness is the what everyone is striving for not matter what you do that is what you are doing it for....so you must do it in your own way because everyone is different to what makes them happy.

I'm not married and have no real desire to get married and I'm pretty satisfied so marriage is not the end all be all of happiness. There are plenty of miserable married people in this world.

Depending upon the partner in our life it may vary. I agree with your statement to some extend...
