I think these days we can earn more name, fame and money from extracurricular activities like sports,dramatics,music,arts..etc moreover, these activities are must to develop the personality. I think that taking active part in these activities has become as important as the studies in schools these days. what do you think?

definitely. by joining extracurricular activities, you will learn a lot of things which you wouldn't learn inside the classroom such as people skills, leadership, organizing events, managing finances, etc. you'll become a well-rounded person, and you will acquire practical skills and know-how which will help you later on when you apply for a job

I don't think that a student should participate in extra-curriculars because of name/fame/money.. That shouldn't be the motive. But, I think that if you are in college you are wasting your time if you aren't getting involved in your school, at least in a minor way!! I am in the Gay-Straight Alliance at my school and I am training to be the president next year.. and although being in the club takes a lot of my time and forces me to organize and prioritize, I think that it is turning me into a better student, and more importantly, a better person. I absolutely think that extra-curriculars help to develop the personality and, especially in college, they are a great resource for finding friends who like similar things and care about the same things as you. Extra-curricular activities are an excellent outlet for meeting new people, getting out stress, and having fun with your free time. Without them, what are you going to do all day...... study?

Of course. In school we must not only develop our academic skills, but our social/psychological skills as well. Extra curricular activities extend our networks, ingrain good attitudes, provides application for our knowledge, and makes us *wise* and not just intelligent.

Oh yes extra-currcular activities are important. I know that many jobs or colleges look at what else you have done other then just classwork. I am in college now and other then just classes i am active in many different clubs. Which will look good when i start my job. So good luck with the extra- currcular activities.
