yep it's interesting to chat with people from different countries in a foreign language, but sometimes i found that i have had not enough topics and i am not good at raising one.so there is sometimes a bit of embarassment just as you don't know what to say when you phone a friend who you haven't contacted for a long time.

Hello vivianguo. I do like it. If I am giving a chance I want to learn seven(7) language. English, chinese, india, japan, franch, spain, and german. But never know where I can learn all that. Maybe if I proceed my study abroad. Hope I can do it. HAPPY LUCKY. **prettyhanan**

My current language is Filipino; I'm also fluent in English and have done some studying of Mandarin and Japanese. Studying language is fun, especially translating, but it also requires a great deal of thinking. Also, when you learn a language it helps you understand another language (especially in the same language family) that you haven't studied yet. For example, I know my Chinese characters, so I understand some Japanese and Korean words even though I don't know how to pronounce them!
