Why I hate movies - this is so pathetic!

I dont' go to the movies. I seldom watch movies on TV. I don't watch anything celebrity related. Want to know why? http://omg.yahoo.com/witherspoon-tops-best-paid-actresses/news/4448 I am sorry, but there is not a single celebrity out there in Hollywood or anywhere else that actually works hard enough to earn this amount of money. They don't even deserve this much money for 1 stupid movie - couple weeks of work where they are pampered while working! And only have to put in "work" time 2-3 times a year. The rest of the time they just walk on and off the talk shows and talk about themselves. This is absolutely disgusting. Do you think a celebrity is deserves to earn this much money?

I think you are mistaken about them not working hard. Some of these movies take up to a year to film. But I agree they are paid way too much. And we are the ones paying their salaries. How, you may ask, well the price of going to see a movie is so expensive, to help pay their salaries. The price of renting a movie is expensive because the company that tapes the movies have to buy the rights to do so, that pays their salaries. The movies on TV have to be bought by the TV stations and we pay a high price for our cable service to watch these movies. So that goes to their salaries. The only thing is this is all figured out before they even make the movie. I am with you, and don't go to the movie theatre very often, don't rent movies very often, and only watch a few on TV. I rather watch the sitcoms, but they make way too much too. Look at Seinfield, he was making one million dollars an episode.

I dont' see several million dollars of work for one person in any movie, no matter how long it takes to make it. Doctors don't even make that and they hole life in their hands! Just a sore subject with me as I work so hard for so little.

"deserve" and "percent share" don't mean the same thing. I see what you are saying. They get it whether they "deserve" or not. Fans do that part. And even sports players, like you said, I don't see that they "deserve" it either. But they ge it because of "supply and demand" and "fan base". Guess just the lucky few get to do that, the rest of us work our tails off for mini wage and we work a million times harder... oh well.
