Your most cherished holiday gift ever. Some are going to benefit from us all telling what gift from your childhood was most cherished. Go ahead, tell us what gift do you most remember from your childhood holidays? The one gift that you might still have tucked away somewhere or atleast when you remember it brings back warm holiday memories. I will gos first. I really loved "WINNIE THE POOH", one holiday my mother crotched me a green sweater having a yellow/orange winnie the pooh pattern infront. I grew out of it but it still sits in my closet and reminds me of those good old days and just feel my moms love.

Hello dear wenge. My cherished gift was the recorder made in Shanghai from my father. My father bought this recorder for me to learn English when I was a high school student and I appreciate my father very much. This recorder helped me a lot in improving my listening ability and pronunciation as it worked very well while playing English tapes. Thanks for your discussion very much.

Wow! That was good of your father. He had your best interests at heart. Our parents are the greatest people in the whole world. Thanks for your response.

Sadly, I have lost all my things in a fire 4 days after christmas last year. I have to begin all over. But I do remember that my parents let us open 1 present on christmas eve every year. This one year its time to put our xmas PJ's on and pick out a present. I pick out one that I had been eyeing since it was put under the tree. My Mom says "No, not that one.' I couldnt believe it. "Here open this one." It was a big coat box. I immediately didnt want to open that one, it was clothes. What nine year old wants to open clothes? I begged "No I want the other one." This went on for about ten minutes until my parents were both pretty annoyed. I began to unwrap this big huge coat box approx.3 feet long. I had this ungrateful look on my face. If I was my mother, I would have took it all back and sent me to bed with nothing. She seemed amused. As the paper came off, the box was untaped. Then to my surprise, Inside this 3 foot coat box was not a coat, but everthing you could possibly need for your barbies! There were shoes, boots, handbags, belts, clothes, etc. I couldnt believe it! I look over at my mom very embarassed about the way I acted. She looked up and said "gotcha!" and hugged me. What a memory! to this day I still get tears in my eyes. I am so ashamed of my self. But as my mom said I was nine. Thats what nine year olds do. I wonder what the excuse would be at 40.lol

Hey friend, am sorry for the fire loss, but you have memories that can never be burnt by any natural fire. This one when you were 9 i think is the most memorable one. and I guess if i were you at nine i would have done the same thing. Thanks for response.

For me too it's the gift I got from my hubby. My engagement ring not because it's a big rock but because how he gave it to me. It was very romantic and well thought out. He had it nicely wrapped and gotten me the cutest card. I only worn it a handful of times since we been married for 6 years, It will be past down to my oldest...
