When I first saw this, I thought this is not a good thing to do to this big dog. Then I saw then cruising along at about 45 miles an hour and you could see that the dog was lovin' it. He was harnessed in so the owner did take good safety measures. Its not like the people who just toss their dogs in the beds of pickups. But he was with Dad and they were bikers! So what do you do special with you pet? Can you top this one?

It is still dangerous as the dog is not wearing eye protection or is not behind glass to protect his/her eyes. I know someone who makes custom trailers for dogs for motorcycles. They have a hard top lid but are fully vented, and its a nice cozy bed in there and two big dogs can be towed safely in their "doggie camper" behind a touring bike or goldwing. I have seen dogs in sidecars before. there is a standard poodle i see seatbelted in with doggles on to protect her eyes. The worst thing I saw was a man who lets his doxie ride in a saddle bag. the dog could die of heat exhaustion even when its not hot out because the bag is not ventilated and its so close to the exhaust. I of course told him what i thought.

I had not thought about the eyes but your right. You often see idiots letting their dogs stick their heads out of car windows going 60 miles an hour down the highway too and that plays hell with their eyes and ears.
