Karaoke! What songs do you like singing?

I just finished singing the karaoke with my officemates and we really enjoyed it! There was a wide variety of songs that we sang and it was from slow tempo to fast songs. Lately, I like singing songs from Avril Lavigne. I like the message of her songs and they make sense. The genre may be unusual for my age but nonetheless I liked to sing her upbeat songs. What kind of songs and genre do you like to sing? Do you go to karaoke with friends and families? What's a 'must-sing' song for you when you gather together in a karaoke? Happy singing!

I don't like to sing because I am horrible at it. I can't sing a note that doesn't come out as screechy. I have no sense of tone. But I do like to listen to others singing. Some are really bad but they are having fun and that's all that counts. Some are very good and they should be singing as a career. And then there are some that are just metiocor, and that's good too. I like any kinds of songs, but I especially like love ballads. They seem to be the easiest for people to sing.

That's nice! You don't have to be very good with singing but making sure that you enjoy it. But like they say, they also say that practice makes perfect, so if you practice the songs that you like the most and the easiest to follow, you will be able to sing more naturally with ease and little difficulty. (^_^) Happy singing with friends!

I rarely sing in front of my friends unless I'm really comfortable with them because I don't have the voice for singing. But when I do get the nerve to grab the microphone, I sing Hands Down by Dashboard confessionals which isn't easily found in Karaokes and/or Mr. Brightside by The Killers which is a rather more common than latter. My friends basically drag me to karaoke bars because I like listening rather than the singing part. They sing everything from popular songs, foreign songs to oldies. They usually have to get me drunk first before they can force me to sing.
