What is the difference between today's top discussions and today's hot topics?

I've been wondering about this for a long time, and up to now I still don't know...

you know, i've never really thought about that.. haha. they do sound like they're pretty similar. if i had to guess i'd say that the top discussions are the ones that have been replied to most that day. then the hot topics may be ones that have the most overall replies plus have been replied to a lot that day?

Hmmm, maybe. Or maybe it's the other way around? I don't know. They really do seem similar. Thank you for responding to my discussion. ^_^

Maybe i can help you solve this problem.and i thimk top discussions are some issues many media concentrate on or many people concern , while hot discussions are issues many people are discussing very hotly.Idonot know if i am right.

The difference doesn't matter to me. As long as the discussion needs me to respond then i do. CHeers
