So Imus is making his way back.Personally I never thought he had malice in his words. I always thought his comment was without thought and surely uncalled for..but I dont think he planned to go in that morn and insult anyone. I am he will be more careful in the future. I havent seen any signs of msnbc putting him back on air.

Yeah, I am sure he didn't intentionally word things they way he did. Sometimes stuff just comes out...open mouth insert foot.

You are right..I see 2 months ago someone said the same thing..but as of today Don Imus is back on the air..I didnt listen to him..might have caught him flipping through channels but I never felt that his words were planned they just came out the way they did and they were very hurtful and racist..though he is not that way.

This is the guy who got sacked for saying things about certain groups of people and spent most of the time bad mouthing things? I'm surprised, I recall hearing when someone got sacked after calling a certain ethenic group. Is this him? he worked for one of biggest american radio stations, fairly old but I don't know to much about american radio personalities. ~joey

I feel the same way, that he didn't mean to insult those girls and I'm sure he'll be more careful in the future. Actually, I've heard others on the radio say far worse things and nothing's ever said. Look at Rush Limbaugh! I'm not for censuring anyone but if they have to take anyone off the air for offensive remarks Limbaugh should have been gone years ago. I think the answer may be that for some reason some have inaccurately labeled Imus as a liberal so that's why they went after him; a conservative can get away with saying just about anything or making fun of anyone. I think there is much injustice in the censoring business. Everyone knows that Don Imus is brash..It's what he is suppose to be. Even though I don't listen to him. I understand that it is what he does ..causes contraversy and he talks without speaking many times. I have heard he is a very generous guy and despite his brashness on the air is a caring person. Tv can make people to look like something they are not.
