Why do you eat? Is it because you looooove food? or is it because you need food to survive. When you take food do you think about the health aspects or you just take what ever you want? When you go out, how do you choose food? At home, how do you select what you want to have for the day?

Very Intelligent question sherinek,Lets think..... Do we eat to live or do we live to eat.........lol. I think 80% of people fall into second category including me.......It is only when we reach our middle age and start having different health problems , that we suddenly realise that we have been eating unnecessarily and unthinkingly all the time. But let me also add the fact that today's generation can get awarness of good health and right eating because they have access to internet and they grow broad minded, but 30 years from today, when we were children and our minds were not so open, we did this mistake of living to eat, but I hope the coming generation will think twice before they get addicted to too much sugar and salt ,which are the main causes of all the deasease........I agree with you sherinek, time has come to think, why are we eating ,,,,,,,how much to eat,....what to eat..........In fact I think all educated mothers should lay down a proper planned food for their children right from their birth, so that children will grow with habit of eating proper food and one day the whole world will be healthy race and we can say goodbye to all diseases.

If I were to live as bachelor, then I would be eating the food because I had to. Now that my wife is there, she is a great cook and she prepares very delicious food, eating had become meaningful function rather than monotonous.

I eat because I have to. I try to have a balanced diet, but I am certainly not paranoid about what I eat.

Hi, The primary intention why I take food is survival, then hungry and then taste, addition and availability. Also the price is to be checked. Any how basically I like tasty food that is good for health to have. The health factor is also checked according the taste and price of food. Taste makes addiction were as even the food might be not good for health.

Can it be for both? Most of the time I eat because I have to. I grab something because it is easy, quick, and efficient. Other times I take the time to make something really great and I eat because I love good food. We aren't just talking about your run of the mill quickie type dinner, but really good things that take time and preparation, these are worth loving, in moderation of course.

food. one of our basic needs because with out it there is a greater tendency that we might end up dying and loses our touch. but really we need food to survive our everyday dealings with our lives. and we must not have to forget about that. but just don't eat too much. its bad too, you know.
