I don't know how many of you read my post yesterday when I asked you how was your day, anyway I wanted to tell you what happened to me today. I was in a bus and it was a lot of people so I wasn't sitting but standing. Then a Santa Claus came close to me. IHe wasn't actually Santa but just a man who looked so much like him. The only difference was that he had so sad eyes. After a while he just started talking to me. You would expect Santa to say Ho Ho or something funny or nice but he just asked me why people smile when our planet was dying. I didn't know what to say but he continued telling me that he never smiled when he was young because the planet is dying. I mean I know that the planet is dying but shouldn't we be all sad about it and never smile in our life?

I guess that man has a problem and his life is not good since his childhood. I think he was fed up by many negative thoughts.. What can i say is that, lets just live our life the best we can as what God wants us to be.As they say, smile is the best medicine. if we will not smile, we will look old faster even if we are still very very young.

Sounds to me like he should have spent more time smiling and less worrying about something he can't prevent. And quite apart from that, the planet certainly isn't dying: Earth has a great ability to bounce back from all sorts of problems. It might offload the humans (LOL) but even that isn't completely likely.

If that is true, we should act like everyday is Mardi Gras.We all should go for what we want and do what we really want and have a good time.

It feels sad to know that your home is dying. That makes him so sad I guess. There are other reason to smile to you were right.

It sounds as if this man could use some counciling... everything that lives is dying every day. If we spent all our time obsessing about it, there would be no joy, no children born, no reason to go on! Our Earth will lasts as long as it lasts... we can't change that. But we can choose to be happy and content with what we have now, or we can choose to be beaten by life. Its a shame his life is so negative... relax and enjoy yours!

I agree with you and I must say I was little bit scared when he started talking, it happened just like that out of the blue.

I've had it happen... you may also just look easy to talk to, like you wouldn't be judgemental. But its scary to deal with strangers like that... you never know if what you say could make them angry. It was a hard situation to deal with.

He may be testing the waters in how the people he talks to, like by chance it was you, would react. The man may truly have had a problem, but maybe he was also wondering how people were thinking about the upcoming holiday season. It's kind of funny how people act and react, but perhaps, if we try to be optimistic, his concern may be resolved. (^_^) At least he wasn't too suspicious and violent to you.
